East Main St.

Officer conducted a routine registration check on a silver Saturn sedan bearing traveling westbound on East Main Street near North Chillicothe Street. The registration returned to Lance Green Jr, a suspended driver. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the driver/owner, Lance Green Jr. Lance was issued a traffic citation for No Valid OL, driving under a Non-Compliance Suspension, and driving under a Security Suspension. Lance was issued a criminal summons for Possession of Marijuana. Lance's vehicle was towed to the Plain City Police Department Impound lot.  Lance advised he would wait at the Marathon gas station for a ride.

Non-Injury Crash

South Chillicothe St.

Officer responded to the area of West Ave and South Chillicothe St in reference to a non-injury crash. Upon my arrival, Officer made contact with, Hunter Harrison and other vehicle driver. Hunter stated that he initiated a left-hand turn onto South Chillicothe Street from West Ave.  Hunter failed to observe the white Hyundai traveling southbound on South Chillicothe Street. This caused the white Hyundai's front bumper to strike Hunter’s drivers side rear wheel well. Hunter was subsequently issued a citation for failure to yield when turning left. Officer then returned to patrol.

Animal Complaint - Other

South Jefferson Ave.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an animal complaint. Upon arrival, Officer spoke to the complainant who advised Officer he observed a k9 in the back seat of the vehicle parked next to him. Officer observed the small k9 in the back of the vehicle that did not appear to be in distress.  I explained to complainant that the outside temperature (68 degrees) would not disturb a dog of that size. Officer then returned to patrol.

US Rt. 42 N

Officer was running stationary radar on US RT 42, north of West Main Street. Officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, southbound on US Rt 42.  Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle on the lot of McDonald's. Upon speaking with the driver, Joshua Wiebe, he admitted to having a baggie of marijuana in the driver's side door pocket.  Joshua was subsequently issued a citation for Speed (PC ORD 333.03C). He was also issued a summons for Drug Paraphernalia (2925.141C) and Possession of Drugs (ORC 2925.11A) and released.

Officer was dispatched to the area of Madison Avenue in reference to a neighbor dispute. While in route dispatch advised that the parties had separated and went back to their own residences. Officer made contact with all parties who agreed to stay separated and to use better judgment in the future. Upon determining everything to be okay, Officer returned to patrol.
