Officer was on patrol when Officer observed someone wearing all dark clothing walking near the east portion of the listed location. Officer then made contact with the juvenile and advised it was past the curfew time in Plain City for minors. Officer then walked juvenile back to his residence where Officer made contact with his mother.  Both parties were unaware of the curfew time in Plain City. Officer explained to both parties the curfew ordinances and gave juvenile a verbal warning for the curfew violation. Officer then returned to patrol.

Drunk Driver

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a hit-skip accident involving an intoxicated driver. The accident occurred in the parking lot of Marathon. Officer located the vehicle turning westbound on Perry Pike and initiated traffic stop.  The driver, Shannon Barnhart, was subsequently charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident, OVI, OVI-Prior refusal in 20, Obstructing Official Business and Resisting Arrest. Officer spoke to complainant via public service who  advised that she has been receiving unwanted and sometimes threatening messages via social media from subject.  Officer attempted to meet with subject at her residence but she was not home. Officer will follow-up with subject as soon as possible.

Officer was met on station by complainant and her neighbor.  They advised that when they arrived home a white minivan with handicapped license plates was back up over the sidewalk and into the front yard of complainant’s neighbor’s apartment and a man was standing at the rear of the van.  Complainant’s neighbor advised that she saw the same van in the area about 2 or 3 days ago.  Both parties advised that they have noticed damage to their windshield wipers of their vehicles and on one occasion, Complainant’s neighbor’s antenna was unscrewed from vehicle and found lying on the ground on the opposite side of her car.  Both requested extra patrol of the area.

Officer was requested to assist Union Co. Sheriff's Office on a traffic stop at the listed location. Officer  assisted Deputy until Officer was no longer needed. Officer then returned to patrol.
