10/9/2019 11:44 PM Parking Complaint Alderwood Cir. Officer was on patrol when Officer observed a grey Ford and a silver Honda parked in front of the listed location in a no parking zone. Officer then made contact with a resident at the listed location and advised that vehicle needs to be moved. Once the vehicle was moved, Officer then returned to patrol.   Pending
10/9/2019 7:30 PM Theft - Misdemeanor South Jefferson Ave. Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a theft that occurred approximately two hours prior. Upon arrival, Officer met with the Assistant Manager and an employee.  Officer learned that a white male and white female came into the business around 1553 Hours. They walked around the store and at 1605 (approximate), they ran out the loading door with several items that were not paid for. See case for further information. Dollar General Store Approved
10/9/2019 7:17 PM Driving Complaint West Main St. Officer was advised of a newer model Toyota Rav-4 SUV that was all over the roadway and unable to maintain its lane. Officer observed the vehicle, a white Rav-4, traveling at inconsistent speeds. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the vehicle driver. Officer advised driver of the complaint against him. Driver advised Officer he was possibly on his phone or looking at his GPS when the alleged violation occurred. Officer did not detect any sign of impairment from driver. Officer advised driver to pay attention to the roadway at all times when driving. Officer then returned to patrol.   Pending
10/9/2019 6:52 PM Juvenile South Chillicothe St. Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an unattended child. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with OSP Trooper who advised Officer he was flagged down by someone who advised they had seen a girl in front of the listed location unattended. Trooper advised when he arrived on scene he met with the child.  The child's uncle met with Trooper moments later. It was later found the child rode her scooter from the side yard where her uncle was to the front yard. Uncle was advised to make sure that he has his eyes on the child at all times when watching her. Officer then returned to patrol.   Pending
10/9/2019 5:42 PM Miscellaneous - Unclassified Lewis Cir. Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a possible theft. Upon arrival, Officer met with complainant who stated that she opened an email and tried to fill out some of the information.   Soon after she received a strange phone call on her landline.  Complainant's phone service stopped working also.  Complainant thought that they had fallen victim to something. As of the time of this incident, complainant had not suffered any type of loss. After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.   Approved
10/9/2019 3:14 PM Parking Complaint Maple St. While on routine patrol, Officer observed a white Ford F250 pulling a trailer parked on Maple Street at West Bigelow Avenue. Officer made contact with the driver and advised him that there was no parking permitted on Maple Street. Driver apologized and moved his vehicle without incident. Officer then returned to patrol.   Approved
10/9/2019 6:53 AM Non-Injury Crash US Rt. 42 N  Officer responded to US 42N in reference a vehicle that struck a deer. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with driver, who was driving a light blue 2009 Hyundai Sonata southbound on US 42N when a deer ran from the east to the west across the road in her path. Driver was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the left front of her car causing damage to the vehicle and severely injuring the deer. The deer had to be dispatched and was picked up by driver's husband, who was issued a tag for the deer. Driver was able to drive her vehicle from the scene and Officer then returned to patrol.
