Officer was met on station by Pleasant Valley Joint Fire Department Captain who advised Officer that fire department personnel located an LG TracFone on July 5th lying in the grass behind the fire department. Captain advised that they posted the phone’s information online however no one has contacted them about it. Officer took possession of the phone as found property. Officer then returned to patrol.

Plain City-Georgesville Rd.

Officer was met at the police department by subject who advised he found a wallet lying on Plain City Georgesville Road near Darby Fields Blvd. Officer thanked subject and took possession of the wallet. Upon checking the wallet Officer found identification for wallet owner.  Officer then located a business card inside for an accounting company and contacted them. The employee advised wallet owner is a client and she would contact him and let him know PCPD has his wallet. (note: due to company policy she was unable to provide Officer the number.) Around 1500 hours Officer returned the wallet to its owner.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with complaint who advised Officer he believes his wife is possibly having some type of mental breakdown, however, advised she is not suicidal and he doesn't believe she is a direct threat to others. Officer advised complainant of a few mental health facilities that he could possibly take his wife if she wanted to get evaluated. After deeming everything okay, Officer returned to patrol.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a noise complaint. The caller advised that the listed location was having a party and the music was too loud. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the resident who was advised of the complaint. Resident apologized and stated that she would turn down the music. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer responded to the listed location to speak with caller about his wife’s mental status. Caller stated that his wife continued to argue with him after Officer had left their residence earlier in the night. Officer advised caller of several options he had to get his wife assistance. Caller thanked Officer for Officer’s time and Officer returned to patrol.

911 Follow-up

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a 911-follow up. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with subject who advised Officer he did not call 911 and double checked on his phone to make sure. Officer had Dispatch call the number back multiple times but the line rang busy. After deeming everything fine, Officer returned to patrol.

Loud Noise/Disturbance

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a loud noise complaint. The anonymous caller advised a silver Buick was playing loud music in the parking lot. Upon arrival, Officer patrolled the area.  Officer then got within a couple of vehicle lengths away from the car in question and could hear the music. Officer made contact with the vehicle owner and advised him of the complaint. Vehicle owner turned the music down without incident. Officer then returned to patrol.

Marijuana

West Main St.

Officer was traveling on West Main Street near South Jefferson Avenue when Officer observed a red Dodge Stratus moved into the left turn lane without signaling. It then made a left turn (southbound) onto South Jefferson Avenue, again without signaling. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with Caleb Adkins (driver) and Olivia Jeffers (passenger). Both parties admitted to having a small amount of marijuana inside Olivia's purse. Officer conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and located a small amount of Marijuana inside a box in Olivia's purse. Caleb was subsequently issued a citation for Signals Before Changing Course (PC ORD 331.14A). Olivia was issued a summons for Possession of Drugs (ORC 2925.11A). Both parties were released from the scene. See corresponding numbers for further information.

911 Follow-up

North Chillicothe St.

Officer was dispatched to the area of Pastime Park on a 911 wireless. Union County Dispatch advised that the call plotted in the area around the north entrance. Upon arrival, Officer was unable to locate the source of the call or any other signs of distress or emergency in the park. Officer called the number associated with the 911 call and received a generic voicemail. Officer left contact information on the voicemail but never received a callback. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched to Lantern Lane in reference to a hit-skip crash. The caller advised that sometime overnight an unknown vehicle struck her car. Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller and the vehicle owner who advised they noticed an unknown vehicle struck her vehicle overnight. Officer checked the damage and observed dark red or burgundy paint transfer in the damage. Officer had complainants fill out an OH3 while Officer photographed the damage. Officer then returned to patrol.  Officer checked the adjacent subdivisions and did not locate any vehicles with damage.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to possible vandalism. Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller who showed Officer a crack in his windshield and advised he thinks maybe it had been hit by a BB. Officer advised that the damage was not consistent with a BB shot. Officer asked the caller if any rock hit his windshield recently, caller advised: "yes, a rock hit it a little while ago". Caller advised he no longer needed a report and would contact his insurance company. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suicide attempt. Upon arrival, subject was conscious and alert. Subject was then voluntarily transported to the hospital by medic.  A CIT was completed.

Officers were requested by the Madison County Sheriff's Office to the area of US 42 S. near Converse Huff in reference to an injury crash. Prior to Officers arrival, Officers were advised they were no longer needed due to Medic not being able to locate a crash. Officers then returned to patrol.
