On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to located property. The caller advised Officer she had located a capped syringe near her apartment on the walkway. The syringe was capped and unused. Officer advised caller Officer would make sure it was properly disposed of. Officer then brought the syringe back and it was disposed of in the sharps container at the Plain City Police Department.

911 Follow-up

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 follow-up. Dispatch advised they received a 911 call from an unknown number. Upon call back, an unknown male answered the phone and advised he was okay, but would not give a location where he was. Upon arrival to the area, Officer observed a multitude of construction workers working on new build homes. Officer then walked the area and spoke to several different people, and did not observe anything out of the ordinary. After determining everything to be fine, Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time I was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 follow-up. Dispatch advised they spoke with caller who advised he accidentally dialed 911. Upon arrival, Officer met with caller who confirmed everything was okay. After determining everything to be fine, Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was contacted by complainant.  Complainant requested that Officer make contact with subject to request subject's daughter to not ride her bike in complainant's driveway.  Officer attempted several times to speak with subject, but subject was not home.  Officer will follow-up with subject during Officer's shift tomorrow.  08/15/2020 1845 Hours-Officer made contact with subject, via public service, and advised subject of the complaint. Subject apologized and acknowledged the complainant.  Subject advised that she would tell her daughter that she cannot ride her bike in that area.

Suspicious Circumstances

On the stated date and time, Officer was on patrol when Officer observed an interior dome light on in a 2015 silver Mazda sedan outside the listed location. Officer then made contact with the vehicle owner that advised he accidentally left it on and everything was fine. Vehicle was secured before returning to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 followup. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with employee who performs cleaning services. Employee advised she may have accidentally hit the 911 call button inside the business. Employee advised everything was okay. Upon deeming everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.

Drug Paraphernalia

East Main St.

On the stated date and time, Officer observed a red Saab with only one operational headlight.  Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle on South Chillicothe Street.  Officer made contact with the driver, Danny Cook.  After further investigation, a probable cause search was conducted.  Danny was subsequently issued a citation for Drug Paraphernalia (ORC 2925.14C) and One Headlight-Two Required (PC ORD 337.03a) and released.  See corresponding numbers for further.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the area of Willow Creek Drive in reference to a fireworks complaint.  Officer found suspect in front of his residence, lighting a bottle rocket.  Officer advised suspect that he needed to stop. Suspect apologized and stopped without incident.  Officer then returned to patrol.

Suspicious Person

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person. Dispatch advised a male wearing a construction vest, rode up on a bicycle into the yard and began walking around the house. Upon arrival Officers made contact with suspects. Officer learned suspects were cleaning the gutters and doing yardwork. After determining everything to be fine, Officer then returned to patrol.

Breaking and Entering

West Main St.

On the stated date and time, Officer observed that the northwest door to the listed location had been propped open with a water bottle. Upon entering the building, Officer observed that two windows were open in a room.  Officer observed what appeared to be debris that appeared to be from someone climbing inside the window on the air conditioning unit just inside the window. Officer observed several additional doors leading to the inside of the business unsecure. Officer made contact with DNA’s keyholder who arrived a short time later.  Keyholder checked her section of the building and located nothing outside the ordinary. Officer attempted to make contact with a keyholder for the additional businesses inside the listed location but was unsuccessful. Officer will have an Officer follow up with these keyholders during Officer's shift to check their property. Officer secured all the doors to the listed location and returned to patrol.  On 8-15-2020 I, Officer made contact with the keyholder to the YMCA who stated she had already been to the YMCA earlier in the day, and observed items misplaced, but did not observe anything missing.  On 8-15-2020 at around 1630 hours, Officer met with keyholder to Vineyard Church at the listed location. Officer and Keyholder walked through the building but did not observe anything out of the ordinary.

Parking Complaint

Carriage Dr.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a parking complaint. An anonymous caller stated a silver truck has been parked at the listed location for several weeks without moving. Upon arrival, Officer observed a 2005 silver Ford truck parked in front of the listed location.  Officer then made contact with subject at the listed location who advised the owner of the truck has been staying at the listed location on and off, but was not currently home. Subject did not have a phone number for truck owner, but stated he would tell truck owner to move the vehicle the next time he saw him. Officer then returned to patrol.

Warrant - Misdemeanor

North Ave.

On the stated date and time, Officer met with, Tabitha Smith, in the south parking lot of the listed location, having prior knowledge that she had an entered warrant out of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office for probation violation. Officer placed Tabitha into custody without incident and secured her in Officer's cruiser. Officer then transported Tabitha to Tri-County Regional Jail without issue. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 follow up. Dispatch advised that call was abandoned on answer. Dispatch advised on call back they spoke with subject who advised it was accidental. Upon arrival Officer spoke with subject, he confirmed everything was okay. Subject advised he accidentally hit the emergency button on the phone. Upon confirming everything to check okay, Officer returned to patrol
