On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched in reference to a wallet that had been found. Upon arrival, Officer met with an employee who advised that he had found a wallet lying in the street on North Chillicothe Street near West Second Avenue.  Employee gave Officer the wallet and Officer observed that it contained an Ohio driver's license for wallet owner.  Officer went to wallet owner's house and returned the wallet to subject.  Wallet owner confirmed that all of the contents were accounted for. Officer then returned to patrol.

Suspicious Circumstances

North Ave.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to suspicious circumstances. The caller, who chose to remain anonymous, advised that they observed a male and female walking behind North Ave Apts.  The caller believed that they were trespassing or doing narcotics. Officer then made contact with both parties who advised that they had been doing landscaping on the property.  On 08-13-20, Officer made contact with the property owner who advised that she is paying subjects to do landscaping work on the property.

On the stated date and time, Officer was met on station by complainant who had questions about obtaining a protection order against her husband.  Subject stated that recently, she thought her husband attempted to kill her.  It became apparent that complainant may be having a mental health episode.  A short time later, Officer met with complainant's husband to discuss the incident with him.  Complainant's husband denied any physical altercation and was advised to contact complainant's doctor due to a possible imbalance of medication.

On the stated date and time, Officers responded to the intersection of West Main St at South Jefferson Ave in reference to a disabled vehicle. Upon arrival, officers observed the vehicle, a red KIA SUV, disabled in the straight lane on West Main St.  After making contact with vehicle owner, Officers pushed the vehicle into the parking lot of Richwood Bank.  Vehicle owner had a tow truck en route prior to Officer's arrival.  Officers then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officers were dispatched to Old 161 in reference to suicide threats. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with subject who was very upset but advised Officers he was not suicidal and did not want to harm himself.  Subject advised Officers he was in a verbal argument with his wife.  Officer advised subject that he could go voluntarily, with medic, to hospital and talk with a specialist. Subject was then transported by medic to hospital.  Officers then made contact with subject's wife, at her residence, who advised they were in a verbal argument over relationship issues just prior to Officers making contact with subject.  Due to son being present during the argument a copy of this report will be sent to MCDOJFS. After deeming everything fine, Officers returned to patrol.

Upon arrival, Officer made contact with complainant who advised she left a plastic grocery bag with belongings in it on the porch.  Complainant advised she checked her porch when she returned and was unable to find her belongings. On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a possible identity theft. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the caller who stated that her husband had been called by their bank advising them of possible fraudulent transactions on their joint checking account.  Caller contacted the fraud department of her bank and they advised her to contact her local police department and have a report created.  Officer advised caller that Officer would document the incident but due to the crime occurring in another city and state, the investigation would need to be performed by that state's local law enforcement. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer received a call from caller who advised she received a suspicious package at the Post Office.  Caller stated several weeks ago she went to the Post Office and received a package from China. Caller did not open the package until today and saw it was a pair of black small socks. Nothing else was in the package, and caller did not order any socks. Officer advised caller to take the package back to the Post Office and have them return it to the sender. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a well-being check. The caller advised that she talks to her 95 year old grandfather daily over public service and he has not answered or returned her calls for the past two days.  Shortly after Officer's arrival, Officer made contact with the grandfather.  Officer advised grandfather that his granddaughter was concerned for him and that he should call her.  Grandfather thanked Officer for checking on him.  After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.

On the listed date and time, Officer was contacted by complainant who advised when he turned in his company owned work truck to his former employee, but he forgot to retrieve a tool that he personally owned.  Complainant requested that Officer contact former employer and see if complainant would be able to retrieve his item.
Officer contacted former employer, via phone, and advised him of complainant's request.  Former employer advised that the item was broken when complainant returned the truck and the item had been trashed.  Officer attempted to contact complainant via phone and left a voice message. After leaving two messages for complainant, without a call back, no further follow up will be conducted.

Parking Complaint

On the listed date and time, Officer was advised of a vehicle parked on Murlay Drive with tags that have been expired for two years and has not moved. Upon arrival, Officer met with the homeowner who advised that the vehicle belongs to his mother who's in a nursing home. Homeowner advised he would move the vehicle into his driveway and get with his brother who has power of attorney for his mother to get the vehicle out of here. Officer then returned to patrol.  A short time later, Officer checked on the vehicle and found that the vehicle was moved.

Suspicious Circumstances

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious circumstance. Dispatch advised a two door silver vehicle was occupied by two males wearing construction gear were drinking beer while getting gas. The males were watching a teenage girl, who was pumping gas.  When the female left, the males followed behind her. Upon arrival to the area, Officer was unable to locate any vehicles matching the description. UCSO Deputy was able to locate the female's vehicle and made contact with the driver.  Female advised she did not know about the males and did not observe anything out of the ordinary.

Domestic Dispute

On the stated date and time, Officer initiated a traffic stop with a white box truck after observing several traffic violations.  Officer made contact with the vehicle’s driver, Ryan Mcnulty.  Upon further investigation, Officer learned that Ryan’s Pennsylvania drivers license had been revoked. Officer subsequently issued Ryan a citation for No Valid Operator’s License. Ryan's relatives responded to the listed location and agreed to drive the vehicle back to their residence. Once all parties had left the area, Officer returned to patrol.

Driving Complaint

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the area of South Chillicothe Street in reference to a driving complaint. The caller stated a gold Toyota 4runner was swerving all over the road. Upon arrival, Officer located the vehicle and made contact with the driver.  Upon speaking with driver, Officer learned driver was lost and was trying to find a place to pull over. After giving driver directions and determining everything to be fine, Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a parking complaint. Upon arrival, Officer observed a 2004 black Acura parked in front of the listed location. The vehicle's driver’s side back tire was flat. Officer then made contact with the vehicle owner at the listed location and advised him of the ordinance.  Vehicle owner advised he would get it fixed and move it. Officer then returned to patrol.  On 8-14-2020, Officer observed the vehicle was no longer on the street and had been moved.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a theft of a bicycle. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with bike owner.  Officer learned suspect took a black and orange bike from the parking lot belonging to bike owner and put in into an unknown Jeep. On 8-12-2020, Officer learned suspect returned bike to bike owner.  On 8-17-2020, Officer made contact with bike owner at listed location. While speaking with bike owner, he admitted to initially telling suspect that he could have the bike. Bike owner then changed his mind, and the bike was returned. Bike owner stated he was confused and did not understand the situation. After learning this, all parties were advised there would be no criminal charges.

On the listed date and time, Officer was advised by dispatch that caller had called in and advised that his wife had not returned from work and he thinks she's missing. Officer advised dispatched that Officer would check the area and see if Officer could locate her.  Officer met with caller at his residence. Upon further conversation with caller, Officer learned that caller and his wife are separated, but living in the same residence. Officer advised caller that wife apparently does not want to communicate with him currently and since she is an adult, Officer would not be entering her as a missing person. Caller advised he understood and was just wondering where she was. Officer then returned to patrol.  08/12/2020 Officer spoke with wife who confirmed that she was okay and did not need any assistance.

On the listed date and time, Officer was on patrol when Officer received a phone call phone in reference to a driving complaint. Due to the location, Officer advised that the Union County Sheriff's office of this information.  UCSO requested Officer to start north on US Rt 42  to see if Officer could locate the vehicle while their units got into the area. Once assistance was no longer needed, Officer returned to patrol.

On the listed date and time, Officer was contacted, via phone,  by Power of Attorney for complainant.  Complainant received a call from his bank regarding a check that he cashed that had been returned as fraudulent.  POA confirmed complainant did not cash the check.  POA went on to say complainant had lost his wallet prior to this event.  POA requested a Police report be completed to provide to complainant's bank.  Officer also advised POA that she should have complainant's accounts flagged, follow up with the Credit Reporting Bureaus as well as Federal Trade Commission regarding Identity Theft.
