Officer made contact with the male subject who stated that he was in a verbal dispute with his family and left the residence because they grounded him. Officer transported subject back to his residence where Officer met with subject's father. Officer warned subject for curfew and the possible consequences if his actions continued. Foreman advised that he would unload the materials and have the trailer moved as soon as possible. Officer then made contact with the caller at his residence and advised him of the findings. Upon arrival, Officer learned complainant was traveling westbound in a white 2016 Honda SUV when an unknown white tractor trailer, traveling eastbound on West Avenue, struck a power line that was hanging across West Avenue. The truck pulled the power lines down, along with the utility pole and lines that were connected. 08/21/2020 1820 Hours - Officer learned that the driver was Nathaniel Jakes. Officer advised Nathaniel to come to the police department for a citation. 08/27/2020 1930 Hours-Nathaniel was issued a citation for Hit-Skip and Overweight-Use of Local Streets. | | Pending |

Caller stated that he just wanted Officers to provide extra patrol to ensure the issue did not continue. Complainant believed that the damage may have been caused by a known person's vehicle. Officer went to the apartment complex and located suspect's vehicle. It did not have any noticeable damage that would be consistent with the damage caused to complainant's vehicle. Officer also spoke with suspect who advised that she hadn't left the house all day. PC Parks Director advised that she was trying to get the vehicle moved due to a wasp’s nest that was in the area. McKillips, the driver was later issued a citation for OVI (4511.191a1), OVI Concentration, (4511.19A1d). Both subjects were later released pending court. As Austin began to pull out, he noticed a dark blue Honda Civic and tried to stop, but was unable to and struck the rear passenger side. This caused damage to both vehicles. Officer canvassed the area and no patrons/employees observed or heard anything out of the ordinary. Officer patrolled the park in an attempt to locate any of the property or discarded property but was unsuccessful. UCSO dropped of found bag of property that contained purse belonging to the victims. While speaking with complainant, property manager found the stepladder in an adjoining property behind a tree.
