Parking Complaint

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a parking complaint. The anonymous caller advised that a silver Chevy Cavalier had been parked in front of the listed residence for over a month. Upon arrival, Officer observed the vehicle had an expired registration and made contact with resident. Resident advised her mother's vehicle had been parked there for about a month because her mother is currently in hospice and doesn't drive. Officer requested she move the vehicle and advised her of the expired registration. Resident complied without issue. Officer then returned to patrol.

Driving Complaint

South Jefferson Ave.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a driving complaint. The caller stated that he observed a white work van make several marked lane violations and drive erratically. Upon arrival, Officer located the white van and initiated a traffic stop. Officer made contact with the driver, who apologized and stated that he was unaware he had been driving erratically.

Theft - Misdemeanor

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the Plain City Police Department in reference to a theft that occurred at the listed location. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with victim, who advised when he went to his vehicle to retrieve his laptop, it was missing.  Victim advised the laptop was in a bag that contained his laptop, mifi (hotspot internet unit), and two computer mice. The computer was entered into NCIC.  See case for further.

Suspicious Circumstances

On the listed date and time, Officer was on patrol on when observing the right front passenger door open on a 2010 Ford F-150 in the driveway at the listed location. Officer made contact with the vehicle owner and advised him about the door. Owner checked the vehicle and advised he must have forgotten close it when unloading stuff earlier. Owner thanked Officer for checking on his vehicle.  After determining everything to be okay, Officer then returned to patrol.

On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a loud noise complaint. The caller advised that the owner of a red Challenger, with a very loud exhaust, allows the vehicle to run idle for long periods of time when coming and going from the residence.  Upon arrival, Officer met with the owner and advised him of the complaint.  Owner apologized for the inconvenience and advised that he starts the car in order to cool the interior, but would try to be more understanding of his neighbors in the future.  Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a miscellaneous incident. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with an employee who when a customer swiped her card it showed as stolen on the computer screen. Employee advised the customer did not purchase any goods with the card and paid another way. Employee advised she had no way to see what the card number was and provided the vehicle registration of the car she believed the customer to have left in.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 Follow-up.  Upon arrival, Officer patrolled the area and did not find anything out of the ordinary. Officer called the number back and spoke with caller, who advised that she as at Pastime Park and she was unsure why her phone called 911. Caller advised that everything was fine, Officer returned to patrol.

Suspicious Vehicle

On the stated date and time, a resident from the listed location called to advise that a white truck had driven up the pedestrian path to the greenspace behind his house and then drove westward.  Upon arrival, Officer spoke to the driver of the truck, who was an employee of the landscaping company doing some re-grading and re-seeding for the project developer. Officer explained that the call was due to the truck driving on the pedestrian/bike path.  Employee said that there was no other way to access the areas he needed to access. Officer advised him to be cautious of pedestrians and bicycles.  Officer than returned to patrol.

Suspicious Circumstances

On this date and time, Officer was requested to meet with an employee at the listed location in reference to someone placing tape over the speakers on the gas pumps. Employee advised that they believe the tape is being placed to muffle the sound of the advertisements. Employee said the tape leaves a residue on the speakers and that their pumps are new, so they want to keep them in like new condition. Employee advised  they don't know who is doing this, but believe they know the truck they drive, so when it returns they will attempt to get a license plate number.  If this is provided, Officer will follow-up.

Non-Injury Crash

West Bigelow Ave.

On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a non-injury crash.  Upon arrival, Officer met with the driver, Charlotte Lambka, who advised she was driving westbound in a light blue 2007 Honda Accord. Charlotte advised that some paperwork fell off the dashboard and she tried to catch it.  When she did so, she swerved slightly to the right, striking the passenger front end of a 2010 Ford Fusion that was parked in front of the residence.  This caused damage to both vehicles.  While Officer was on scene, the owner of the Ford Fusion arrived.  Charlotte was issued a citation for Failure to Control.  Both parties exchanged insurance information.

Traffic Stop

On the stated date and time, Officer conducted a routine registration check on a black Chevrolet sedan traveling southbound in the listed location. The vehicle registration returned to a suspended driver. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the vehicle owner/driver, Jacob Cook. Jacob was later issued a citation for Driving on an ALS Suspension and No Valid OL. Jacob’s vehicle was towed to the PCPD impound lot.   Jacob was given a ride home.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a 911 hang-up. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with caller, who stated that he accidentally dialed 911 a few minutes prior. After determining everything to be okay, Officer returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 follow-up. Dispatch advised the caller immediately hung up and did not answer on call back. Officer canvassed the area and did not locate anything out of the ordinary. Dispatch left a voicemail for the number but the call was never returned. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to an unknown male that had run by the caller’s house. The caller advised that she saw on her security system a male wearing shorts, a ball cap and possibly a hooded sweatshirt run by her house after seeing a cruiser. Caller did not want to speak with an officer. Officer advised dispatch that he had been in the area and only saw a male walking down the side walk.  After determining everything to be okay in the area, Officers returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 follow-up. The caller stated an unfamiliar number left a voice message stating they were outside the residence. Before arrival, caller advised dispatch that the voice message was a prank from a friend’s father after watching a scary movie. Officer then made contact with caller, who confirmed this. Officer also made contact with friend's father, via telephone. After determining everything to be fine, Officer then returned to patrol.
