Officer responded to the area of Gay Street in reference to a 911 wireless that was plotting in that area. While checking the area Dispatch advised that the phones owner called in and advised she was at South Mechanic Street and everything was okay. Upon arrival, at that location, Officer met with the caller who apologized and stated she had dialed 911 by accident. After determining everything checked okay, Officer returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to 2 juveniles that had thrown a pile of leaves on the caller’s front porch. Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller who advised that he had attempted to make contact with one of the boys but he would not answer the door. Officer then made contact with the boy who advised he did not throw the leaves on the porch that the kid he was walking with did it. Officer then requested that the juvenile go over to the neighbor's house and remove the leaves. Once at the neighbors, the juvenile removed the leaves and was advised not to do it anymore.  Officer then advised the juvenile that Officer would have to speak with his father later, due to him being a minor. Officer then returned to patrol.

Well-being Check

South Chillicothe St.

Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to juvenile calling the Columbus Suicide and Teen Help Hotline. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the juvenile.  After talking with juvenile for a while Officers felt that the juvenile was no threat to harm himself only scared of getting into trouble for breaking the house rules. Juvenile was advised that Officer would speak with his father later and talk about the incident.  Officers then returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched to the area of Willow Creek Court and Buckboard Lane in reference to a barking dog complaint. The caller did not want to speak with an officer. Upon arrival, Officer could hear a dog barking; however Officer could not tell which direction it was coming from. While checking the area the dog stopped barking. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was requested by the Union County Sheriff's Office to respond to the listed location to back up their unit on an activated alarm. Once assistance was no longer needed, Officer returned to patrol.

Officer made contact with complainant, via public service, in reference to a deceased skunk that was lying in the roadway. Upon arrival, Officer located the skunk on West Avenue near Willow Creek Drive. Officer removed the skunk from the roadway and disposed of it at the Street Department. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer received a voicemail (at the police department) in reference to a suspicious vehicle/person. Officer arrived at the listed location and made contact with complainant who advised that she had noticed a few out of state vehicles parked in front of her residence this week. Complainant’s boyfriend went outside to confront them and they left the area.  Complainant was concerned because the vehicles looked out of place. Officer advised complainant to contact the police department if she sees a strange vehicle again and the police department can try to determine what they are doing. Officer then returned to patrol.

Driving Complaint

South Jefferson Ave.

Officer was dispatched in the area of South Jefferson Ave in reference to a driving complaint. The driver of a white Chevrolet Pick-Up called in advising he was behind a white Chevrolet Trailblazer that was weaving all over US 42 near Jonathan Alder High School. While Officer was being dispatched to the traffic complaint Dispatch advised the driver of the Trailblazer called in advising he thought he was being followed by the white Chevy Truck. Officer was able to make contact with both drivers. Officer advised both drivers there seemed to be a miscommunication where they both suspected each other of being in the wrong. Officer did not detect any signs of impairment from either driver. Officer then returned to patrol.

Suspicious Person

East First Ave.

Officer responded to the area of East First Ave, in reference to a suspicious person complaint. The caller stated that he observed a male subject walking in the roadway who appeared to be intoxicated. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with suspect who stated that he was walking back to his brother’s residence and was not walking in the roadway. Officer advised suspect of the consequences if he was found walking in the roadway while intoxicated. After determining that suspect was able to care for himself and would not be a hazard walking to the residence, Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a possible mental health issue. Once Officer determined everything to be okay, Officer then returned to patrol.  A CIT report was completed.

Officer responded to the area of Dickens Ln. in reference to a solicitor’s complaint. The caller stated that he was remotely alerted via a front door camera that a male dressed in grey had rang his doorbell multiple times and appeared to be soliciting. Officer made contact with subject a few doors down from the listed location. Subject did not produce a valid Plain City soliciting permit. Officer advised subject that he was required to have a permit to solicit and explained the process in order to obtain one.  Officer also advised subject if he continued to go door-to-door, without a permit, he would receive a citation. Subject agreed to not solicit until a valid permit can be obtained. Officer then returned to patrol.

Theft - Felony

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to the theft of a credit card. Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller who advised me that an unknown person got into his filing cabinet in the basement and stole his Sears MasterCard. Caller also advised Officer that he had a construction company in his home doing a room addition from February through May of this year and the crew was in the basement a lot. Caller advised that he has had contact with the business manager earlier this week in reference to the theft. See case for any additional information.

Officer was on routine patrol at Pastime Park when Officer was flagged down by a resident camper. Complainant advised that he was in an argument with his son because the son was not following the wishes and the discipline set up for him. Complainant requested Officer speak with his son in an attempt to make him understand that he has to listen to his father. Officer then made contact with the son and advised him that as a juvenile he must listen to his father and respect his wishes. Both subjects agreed to more calmly solve problems and the son agreed to listen to his father. Officer then returned to patrol.

Civil Dispute/Standby

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a civil standby. The caller wished to take possession of his property at the listed location and wanted a standby because he was afraid of his girlfriend. Upon arrival, Officer was unable to locate the caller in the immediate area of the listed location. Resident was on her cell phone with the caller while Officer was on scene and the caller did not want to return to the house or speak with Officer. Officer then returned to patrol.

Rx - Prescription Drugs

North Chillicothe St.

Officers were dispatched to the no name alley between Shepper Avenue and North Chillicothe Street in reference to a suspicious person. The complaint advised that a white male in is 20's, wearing a black Nike shirt, placed something in the neighbor's fence. The subject was then pacing up and down the alley while talking on the phone.  Upon arrival, Officers made contact with Anthony Sullivan, who was in the alley. Officer checked the fence and located drugs and drug paraphernalia. Anthony admitted that all the items were his and he hid them there because he was waiting for a civil standby and didn't want to get caught with them. Anthony was subsequently issued a summons for Possession of Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia.

Officers were requested to conduct a civil standby at the listed location. Officers stood by while caller gathered some of his belongings. Both parties advised that Officer could leave and they would just talk peacefully. Officers then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was met at the police department by complainants who advised that they believed their daughter and her boyfriend were at the listed location in a verbal argument. Officers then went to the listed location and found no one at the residence. After deeming everything fine, Officer returned to patrol.

US Rt. 42 N

On the stated date and time while on patrol, Officer was advised by a passerby of a possible crash on US 42 near SR 736. The caller stated that an SUV was parked with its hazards on near SR 736 with debris in the roadway. While checking the area Officer located the subject and initiated a traffic stop with that vehicle.  Officer made contact with the vehicle's driver who stated that he had struck a deer on US 42 north of SR 736 and was moving his vehicle to a safer location.  Officer advised subject to park the vehicle in Dominos parking lot and to standby for the Highway Patrol. Officer checked the roadway for debris. Once determining the roadway was clear, Officer returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a barking dog at the listed location. Officer made contact with canine owner who apologized and advised he had brought in the dog once he realized it had been left outside. Officer then returned to patrol.

Traffic Stop

Officer observed a black Van traveling northbound on US 42 near North Chillicothe St. The vehicle registration returned to Kenneth

Mounts. Kenneth's OL showed expired as of 04-24-2019. Officer then observed the vehicle fail to activate its turn signal when turning right onto North Chillicothe St. The vehicle then went right of the fog line while on North Chillicothe St. Officer then initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the driver/owner, Kenneth Mounts. Kenneth was issued a citation for expired ol, given a verbal warning for no turn signal and marked lanes. Kenneth and his vehicle were then picked up by a valid driver.

Attempted Suicide

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to an overdose. Upon arrival, with the Medic, Officer found the subject in an upstairs bedroom and unresponsive. The crew from the Medic loaded subject in the medic and transported subject to the hospital. The medic crew took all of the medications involved. A CIT report will be completed.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a civil standby. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with all parties involved.  After speaking with all parties, everyone agreed to let the juvenile stay with her dad until everything is finalized with the courts.

Officer was on patrol when Officer made contact with the business owner at the listed location in reference to bad checks.  Complainant requested Officer make contact with subject to advise her she needs to pay the balance. Complainant advised he did not want to pursue charges unless subject doesn't come in. Later, Officer made contact with subject at her residence who stated she would be in to pay the balance. Officer then returned to patrol.

Loud Noise/Disturbance

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a noise complaint. The caller stated that their neighbor had been revving the engine to a truck. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the subject who stated that the engine had revved once while he backed it into the driveway. Subject apologized and stated that the vehicle would remain parked for the remainder of the night. Officer then returned to patrol.
