6/4/2019 | 1:42 PM | Neighbor Dispute | South Chillicothe St. | Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a neighbor dispute. Upon arrival, Officer met with the complainant. She advised me that her new neighbor had told her that she wasn't allowed to park on the road in front of their house and if she continued, the neighbor would have her vehicle towed. Officer advised neighbor that the right-of-way is from the sidewalk to the roadside and complainant was permitted to park on the west side of the roadway. Officer also advised neighbor that the location on the bridge also appeared to be in the right-of-way (confirmed by the Madison County Auditor's website) and complainant was permitted to park there. Officer explained to both parties the parking ordinances of Plain City and encouraged them not to park on the Street Lawn or Curb within the Village or to have a vehicle towed that is parked within the right-of-way. They were also encouraged to contact the police department if they had any further questions regarding the parking issues. | Returned | |
6/4/2019 | 1:20 PM | Drunk Driver | West Main St. | On this date and time, while refueling at Mike's Pit Stop, Officer noticed a silver Ford pull onto the lot and park on the west side of the building. While inside, Officer observed the female, who had been driving the silver Ford, standing in line completing a purchase of a bottle of wine. She was swaying noticeably and when she spoke to the clerk, she slurred her speech. Officer followed her out the door and spoke to her about her possible impairment. After further investigation female was placed under arrest and transported back to the police department. Female subsequently was issued a citation for OVI and Prohibited Concentration (Super Concentration). She was later transported to her residence and released to her mother.
