Officer took possession of a found canine and a short time later the canine was returned to its owner. The owner was given a warning for dogs at large.

Drunk Driver

US Rt. 42 N

Officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that almost hit a police cruiser. Upon approach the officer could smell an odor of alcohol emitting from the vehicle.  The driver admitted to using her phone while driving. After further investigation, Anamilet Artis, 23, of Delaware, was arrested and charged with OVI and Texting while Driving. She submitted to a BAC test, which resulted in 0.152%. She was released to a responsible party.

Officer responded on a report of a vehicle parked in the same spot for several hours. Upon arrival the vehicle had left, the area was canvassed but the vehicle was not located.

Officers responded on a report of a possible domestic dispute that happened at the location the previous night. After further investigation, it was determined there was no dispute of any kind that took place.

Drunk Driver

Officers responded on a report of a vehicle that hit the restroom building at Pastime Park. Contact was made with the driver, who was visibly intoxicated and would not comply with officers commands. The subject refused to do a BAC test. After further investigation, Daniel Westfall, 62, of Columbus, was arrested and charged with OVI and Disorderly Conduct and cited for OVI Refusal, Failure to Control, No Operator's License. He was transported to Tri-County Regional Jail.
