Road Hazard

Plain City-Georgesville Rd.

Officer responded on a report of a large amount of gravel in the roadway at Plain City-Georgesville Road and Converse-Huff Road. A short time later, PVFD arrived on scene and assisted with sweeping the gravel to the side of the road.

Non-Injury Crash

Jackson Blvd.

Officers responded to Jackson Blvd on a non-injury crash. The driver of a 2007 KIA was parked in front of a residence, opened the driver side door and the door was struck by a 2015 Nissan SUV. The KIA sustained major damage to the door and the Nissan had minor front bumper damage. Subsequently, Jared Adams, 28, of Plain City, was issued a traffic citation for Operating Vehicle Door on Traffic Side.

Disabled Vehicle

South Jefferson Ave.

Officer responded on a report of a vehicle parked on the side of the road at the intersection of South Jefferson Ave and Perry Pike. The vehicle was disabled and was later towed to a local repair company.

Non-Injury Crash

South Jefferson Ave.

Officer responded to the area of South Jefferson Avenue and Dollar General on a non-injury accident.  A 2009 Chevy Impala was leaving a business and accelerated instead of braking and struck the rear passenger side tires of a semi-trailer.  James Daugherty, 79, of South Solon, OH, was issued a citation for Failure to Yield-From Place Other than Roadway. The semi driver was given a warning due to the trailer not having a registration on it.

Disabled Vehicle

Church St.

Officer responded to a semi needing assistance with backing up safely.

Road Hazard

West Main St.

Officer responded on a report of concrete spilled in the roadway. Contact was made with the truck driver, who advised the truck malfunctioned. The driver was given a warning for Unsafe Load. A short time later, a crew arrived on scene and cleaned the roadway.

North Chillicothe St.

Officer responded on a report of a non-injury hit skip. The caller advised, his vehicle was sideswiped, by an unknown vehicle, resulting in the driver's side mirror being torn off. A report was taken.

Open Door

East Main St.

Officers found a door unsecured, searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. The door was secured and a note was left.
