Officer was requested by the Madison County Sheriff's Office on a report of an injured deer in the roadway. Once the officers assistance was no longer needed, he returned to patrol.

Road Hazard

West Main St.

Officer was dispatched in reference to a steel plate being in the roadway. The street department was contacted and arrived on scene to move the plate. Officer directed traffic until the roadway was clear.

Theft/Identity

Maple St.

Officer received a report in reference to a possible identity theft complaint. The caller advised someone called asking questions about a Medicare card, in which she provided some information. Later, she contacted Medicare customer service and was advised they did not contact her. Officer advised the caller to keep a close eye on her bank statement for fraudulent charges and to report them if they are made. An incident report was taken.

Officers were dispatched in reference to a verbal dispute between family members. After speaking with the parties, everyone was calm and the officers assistance was no longer needed.

South Chillicothe St.

Officer was dispatched in reference to a vehicle running over the crosswalk sign in the middle of the roadway. Officer checked the sign and found no visible damage to the sign.

Officer found an open door at the listed location after hours. Upon checking the business, officers deemed everything to be ok and secured the door.

Parking Complaint

North Chillicothe St.

Officer was dispatched in reference to a parking complaint. Officer canvased the area to try and find the vehicle owner but was unsuccessful however, when the officer returned the vehicle had been moved.

Traffic Stop

South Chillicothe St.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Pick-Up Truck, which had two occupants, that had vehicle tags registered to another vehicle.  After further investigation, it was found the vehicle tags belonged to the someone else, who gave permission to use the tags. The driver, Raymond Martin, had a suspended driver's license. Raymond was issued a traffic citation for No Valid OL, ALS/OVI Suspension, and Plates/identification mark belonging to another motor vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the PCPD impound lot and the occupants were given a ride home.

Suspicious Circumstances

Officer observed a light on in a parked vehicle and made contact with the owner. The owner advised she accidentally left it on and nothing was missing or out of the ordinary.
