Traffic Stop

South Jefferson Ave.

Officer was on patrol when Officer observed a 2006 blue Chevy Cobalt and observed the driver to be Bradley Ross. Bradley was subsequently issued a citation for No Valid OL and Driving Under Suspension. The vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound lot. Bradley was released from the scene to a valid driver. Officer then returned to patrol.

Non-Injury Crash

Officer responded in the area of South Chillicothe St near Lantern Ln in reference to a non-injury accident. The vehicle driver advised he was operating his white Ford Pick-Up truck northbound on South Chillicothe St near Lantern Ln when a No Parking Sign blew partially into the roadway striking his mirror. This caused minor damage breaking the mirror.

Officers were dispatched to the listed location because the caller stated her boyfriend was drunk and threatening her.  Complainant and boyfriend told Officers that they would be civil for the night.  Due to children being present, this report will be forwarded to Department of Jobs and Family Services.

Upon arrival, Officer made contact with suspect who stated that she was locked out of her apartment and needed assistance getting in.  A short time later, the landlord arrived and assisted with unlocking the apartment. Officers then returned to patrol.

Officer observed a female running after a pit-bull on West Main Street near Park Street.  The canine was returned to its owner.  Canine owner was given a warning for Animals Running at Large.  Officer then returned to patrol.

Driving Complaint

South Chillicothe St.

Officer responded to the area of South Chillicothe Street in reference to a driving complaint.  Officer observed the vehicle turning with no turn signal.  Officer initiated a traffic stop and made contact with vehicle driver.  Officer advised driver to pay more attention while driving and gave driver a verbal warning for no turn signal. Officer then returned to patrol.

Non-Injury Crash

SR 161 E

Officer was advised of a non-injury crash that occurred on SR 161 just east of Butler Ave. The reporting party stated that a deer had been struck and was still in the roadway. Upon arrival, Officer checked the area but was unable to locate the deer or vehicle involved in the crash.  A short time later, Officer was met at the Police Department by subject involved in crash.  Subject requested a report be completed for his insurance. Subject thanked Officer for Officer’s time and Officer returned to patrol.  Refer to attached media for further.

Drunk Driver

East Main St.

Officer was on routine patrol when Officer observed a silver Honda Civic traveling on East Main Street. The vehicle was swerving as it drove eastbound.  Officer stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Bonnie Keaton. After further investigation, Bonnie was placed in custody for OVI; she was later transported to the police department. Bonnie was issued a citation for OVI and Marked Lanes. Bonnie was advised of her court date and released to a valid driver.

Telecom Harassment

Complainant called the police because his sister was being harassed by her now separated husband.  After making contact with all parties involved, Officers advised subject that he is trespassed to The Grainery and Pioneer Pizza. Officers advised victim that an Officer would follow up during the next shift to get a statement for the Telecommunications Harassment.

Fireworks

Central Ave.

Officer responded to the area of Central Ave in reference to suspicious circumstances. The caller stated that they heard a loud sound that sounded similar to a gun shot. Upon arrival, Officer checked the area and made contact with suspect who stated that he had set off a firework a few moments earlier. Officer advised suspect that fireworks were not permitted within the corporation limits. Suspect stated that he was unaware and would not set off any more fireworks. Officer then returned to patrol.
