Officers responded to the Plain City Elementary School for an Identify theft.  Complainant advised that she had received an unemployment W-2 a few days ago; however, she did not file for unemployment.  Complainant advised Officers she requested to flag her checking account for fraudulent activity and had informed Job and Family Services of the W-2.  Officers also advised her to contact the Attorney General's Office. After taking photos of the documents, Officers returned to patrol.

Parking Complaint

Smucker Ln.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a parking complaint. The caller advised a white Chevrolet was parked in a No Parking zone in front of the listed location. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the owner, who advised she was moving out of the listed location and was currently packing her vehicle. Vehicle owner stated she would move the vehicle and only park in that spot if she was moving heavy objects. Officer then returned to patrol.

Recovered/Found Property

South Jefferson Ave.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to two recovered wallets.  Officer was able to make contact with both wallet owners to advise them to come to the police department to pick up their wallets.  A short time later, one wallet owner arrived at the police department and retrieved his wallet. The other wallet owner advised that her daughter would be by to pick up the wallet.

Traffic Stop

Officer observed Tabitha Smith driving a maroon Subaru Legacy southbound on North Ave.  Having previous knowledge that Tabitha had a Suspended Ohio Driver's License, Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle in the parking lot of the listed location. Tabitha was cited for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without a Valid License and Driving Under Financial Responsibility Suspension. The vehicle was towed to the police department's impound lot. Tabitha was advised of her court date.

West Main St.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to an intoxicated male. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with the caller that stated the suspect was wanting to drive home, but the caller did not believe suspect should, due to his intoxication level. After speaking with suspect, it was apparent suspect was highly intoxicated and it was unsafe for him to drive home. During Officer's interaction, suspect was warned for Disorderly Conduct. After a short while, a friend arrived on scene and provided suspect a ride back to his residence. Officer then returned to patrol.

Loud Noise/Disturbance

North Ave.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a noise complaint. The caller advised that the apartment above his apartment was vacuuming at this time, keeping complainant awake. Officer then contacted the suspect who confirmed that she was vacuuming because she spilled something and wanted to clean it up. Suspect was advised to keep the noise down before returning to patrol.
