Suspicious Person/Vehicle

SR 161 E

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the area of State Route 161 East and old 161 in reference to a suspicious person. The original call was that there was a man walking outside of his vehicle in the roadway. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with suspect who stated to that he pulled over and on the side of the roadway to walk his dog and wait for a "comet sighting." Once Officer saw there was no need for emergency services, I then returned to patrol.

Neighbor Dispute

North Ave.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a neighbor dispute. The caller (who wished to remain anonymous) stated that subject had been outside early in the day arguing with several neighbors and causing a scene. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with subject inside his residence who immediately began to yell about misc. neighbors and his sister. Officer warned subject for Disorderly Conduct. Subject agreed to remain calm for the remainder of the night and cause no further issues. Officer then returned to patrol.

Well Being Check

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a well-being check. Subject had missed two follow up appointments.  The caller wanted to make sure subject was not in need of any assistance. Upon arrival, Officer made contact  with subject who appeared in good mental health and stated that he forgot about of the appointments. After determining everything checked okay, Officer returned to patrol.

Child Abuse

On the stated date and time, Officer was contacted by a female in reference to the possible sexual abuse of a juvenile. The caller (who wished to remain anonymous) stated that while playing with her young son he asked if she wanted to do a dance he referred to as "the bump". The caller stated that her son then had her sit down where he proceeded to dance in a way that she believed to be sexual in nature. The caller asked her son where he had learned this. He stated that he learned it on the playground from a classmate.  The caller stated that the juvenile should not be aware of that movement and believed the classmate may have been exposed to it in a sexual situation.  Due to both parties living in Madison County, a copy of this report will be forwarded to the Madison County Sherriff’s Office, as well as the Madison County Department of Jobs and Family Services.

Dead on Arrival

Noteman Rd.

On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a well-being check.  The caller stated that he had not seen or heard from his aunt in several weeks.  Upon not getting an answer at the door, Officer forced entry through a door on the west side.  Upon entering, Aunt was discovered on the floor, in the kitchen.  The Medic pronounced her deceased.  Units from the Union County Coroner's Officer arrived on scene and assisted.  For more information, see case.

SR 161 E

On the stated date and time, Officers were dispatched to the area of SR 161 and Butler Avenue in reference to livestock in the roadway. Upon arrival to the area, Officers found that the livestock.  Dispatch advised Madison County as well as the owner who came to rustle the cattle back onto the farm. Once Officers were no longer needed both units then returned to patrol.

Cemetery Pk.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the area Cemetery Pike and SR 161 East at the request of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a health emergency. The original call was that there was man in an orange sedan parked off on the side of the roadway who was hunched over the steering wheel and was not moving.  Once Officer was no longer needed, Officer then returned to patrol.

Suspicious Circumstances

Smucker Ln.

On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the area of Smucker Lane in reference to a an audible alarm going off.  Upon arrival, Officer located  where the alarm was coming from.  Officer then met with the resident who advised that the alarm must have been tripped when her electric flickered during the storm earlier and she's unable to get it shut off.   Officer then assisted resident with resetting the breaker for the alarm. Upon determining everything to be okay, Officer returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location and spoke with suspect who advised that he and sister had been in a verbal argument earlier in the day.  Officer advised suspect to avoid having contact with sister.  Officer then went to 201 North Ave and spoke with sister.  Officer advised sister to avoid contact with suspect. Officer then returned to patrol.
