On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the area of US 42 in reference to a driving complaint. The caller stated that a tan Chevy was traveling northbound on US 42 near AW Wilson Road and was all over the roadway. Upon arrival, Officer located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on US 42 near SR 736. Officer made contact with the driver and advised him of the complaint. Driver stated that he was driving erratically because he had been in a crash earlier in the week which caused issues with his left rear tire. Officer observed that the tire appeared to be leaning at an angle. Due to the damage to the tire, Officer  issued driver a verbal warning for unsafe vehicle. The vehicle was then towed to driver's residence at his request. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated and time, Officer was contacted via email in reference an incident that occurred on 7-5-2020 at approximately 0815 Hrs on Maple St. near West Ave. Complainant advised that while driving to work, she observed someone yell out their car window at her. Complainant advised they have an ongoing issues between all parties and was requesting a report for documentation purposes and guidance for obtaining a Protection Order. Complainant was advised to contact the Madison County Prosecutor's Office for further.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a neighbor dispute. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with all parties. Suspect had been power washing the building and upsetting the other residents. Suspect was requested to stop until people were inside their apartments. Manager was also advised she needed to make direct contact with suspect in the future to avoid any issues with communication. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a parking complaint. Upon arrival, Officer observed a Shelly Company work-truck with attached trailer pulled into an unused camper lot #29.   Officer made contact with a neighboring camper who advised that the operator of the truck left with the occupants of lot #30 earlier in the day.  Officer was unsuccessful in making contact with the campers in lot #30.  The on-site park manager advised he would contact the campers at lot #30 and have the owner move the truck/trailer.   Officer then returned to patrol

Parking Complaint

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a parking complaint. Upon arrival, Officer observed a white van parked in front of the listed location. The vehicles registration had expired and had low tires. Officer made contact with subject, and advised him of the issues. subject stated that the vehicle belonged to his father.  Subject stated that he would tell his father about the issues and have the vehicle moved. Officer then returned to patrol.  07-19-2020: Officer made contact with vehicle owner who stated that he has arranged to have the vehicle moved on 07-21-2020.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a vandalism complaint. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the caller who stated that sometime the previous night someone had thrown eggs at the top part of her residence.  Caller stated that she had already checked with the neighbors in the area and that no one had observed anything out of the ordinary. Officer advised caller that PCPD would have units increase patrol in the area. Caller thanked Officer for his time and Officer returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to Marathon gas station in regards to a found wallet.  Employee stated that the wallet was found on the ground near a gas pump.  Officer took possession of the wallet and took it back to the department until the owner could be contacted.  Officer located a OH ID for owner inside the wallet. Officer called the phone number associated with his contact information and left a voicemail with regards to his property and how to retrieve it at the police department.  Officer arrived at approximately 1600 and took possession of his wallet.  Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was on patrol when Officer observed a suspicious circumstance at the listed location. Officer observed a gray Chevy Trailblazer with the trunk open in the parking lot. Officer attempted to make contact with the owner, but was unsuccessful. The vehicle was secured and a business card left advising the vehicle was found with the trunk open and to contact the department with any issues. Officer then returned to patrol.

After not being able to find anyone, Officer attempted to call back the number, but was unable to reach anyone. Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a dispute. Upon arrival, Officers learned several children were playing near Keiser Field, when two older women came up to them and started yelling. The women accused them of trying to steal another child’s shoes, got close to them and said they were going to "beat the shit out of them". This scared the males, who ran back to their parents crying. Upon learning this, one of the parents got into a vehicle and drove at a high rate of speed towards where the women were last seen. When the parent was confronted about his speeding through the park, the parent got into an argument with the President of the Baseball Association. The parent was eventually asked to leave the park, and was advised he was not allowed to return for the rest of the night. Officers then attempted to make contact with the two females, but learned they left the area once they learned the Police were responding.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a fireworks complaint. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with suspect who did acknowledge that he was shooting off fireworks. Officer advised suspect of the complaint and he stated that he would no longer continue to shoot off the fireworks. The original caller did not want to meet with an officer. Afterwards, Officer then returned to patrol.

Drunk Driver

South Chillicothe St.

On the stated date and time, Officer was traveling on South Chillicothe Street when Officer was flagged down by several people advising of an injury crash. Officer then observed a 2005 Toyota who's front end was collided with the rear end of a parked 2008 Jeep in front of the listed location. The Toyota had disabling damage, and Jeep appeared to have functioning damage. Officer then made contact with the driver of the Toyota, Michael Reddy.  Michael was then transported to hospital. While at the hospital, Michael was read the BMV 2255 form and consented to a test.  Michael was subsequently cited for OVI, and Failure to Control. Michael's vehicle was towed to the towing companies impound lot.

On the listed date and time, Officer responded to the area of the listed location in reference to cattle in the roadway. Upon arrival, Officer located one unsecured bull and cow in the south field of the listed location. Officer stood by to make sure they did not enter the roadway.  With the help of a passing motorist Officers were able to cordon the strays into an adjoining bean field that was secured with a perimeter fence and gate. The owner was notified of the situation and that the animals were secured.  Officer then returned to patrol.

On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference a mental status change. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with subject who appeared confused, agitated and unaware of his surroundings. It was learned subject was trying to hand medical documentation to a bank teller.  Medics transported subject to Hospital for evaluation. Officer then returned to patrol.  A CIT report was filed on this incident.

On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the area of Harrington Drive in reference to a suspicious person complaint. The caller stated that a young male had come to his residence representing the republican party. The caller was aware that the juvenile could promote his political views but that he thought it was strange due to the males age. Upon arrival,  Officer made contact with subject stated that he was handing out flyers for the Republican Party.  Officer advised subject that he was within his rights to go door to door for the political party. Officer then returned to patrol.
