The original caller was at Lee’s Sports and Spirits and indicated that a white male with brown hair punched victim in the face twice while at Mike's Pitt Stop. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the suspect and his friend at Mike's Pitt stop purchasing beer. Both males appeared to be heavily intoxicated. Officer asked suspect about the incident that occurred between he and victim. Suspect stated that he was in a verbal altercation with another individual and an unknown female. Due to suspect's level of intoxication, Officer provided a courtesy ride to suspect and his friend. Later on, that same evening. Officers followed up with the victim and asked him about the incident. Victim indicated that he was not at Lee’s Sports and Spirits and was not assaulted. Chillicothe St. at a high rate of speed which was paced at 44MPH in a 25MPH speed zone. The vehicle failed to stop for Officer's emergency lights and siren and continued to travel erratically at a high rate of speed until he eventually came to a stop on US70 near SR38 after several moving violations. The operator, later identified as Corey Castle, was charged with several moving violations and Failure to Comply with Lawful Order (F3). See case for further. | | Returned |
