Suspicious Person/Vehicle

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a suspicious vehicle complaint. The caller stated that a white Suburban was parked in front of the listed location. The caller stated that he had not seen the vehicle in the area before and that it appeared suspicious. Upon arrival, Officer found the vehicle but was unable to locate the occupants. Dispatch located a phone number for the registered owner.  A short time later the vehicle owner met Officer at his vehicle and stated that he was at a party several houses down. After determining everything checked okay, Officer returned to patrol.

Miscellaneous - Unclassified

Maple St.

Officer received a call from Village Administrator in reference to a semi on Maple Street at West Main Street. Upon arrival, Officer met with the driver of the semi who stated he was advised that he could move the barricade on West Main Street at Maple Street to get to Road Hogg's storage building. Officer advised semi driver that he wasn't permitted to move the barricade without permission. The truck was not damaging the roadway and the Village Administrator allowed semi driver to go to the business and park it. However, due to a mound of dirt, the semi driver was not able to get the tractor/trailer into the lot. Semi driver was advised that he needed to back up onto West Main Street and go in off of West Bigelow Avenue. While trying to position his vehicle, the semi made several marks in the pavement, requiring it to be fixed. Village Administrator advised that he would like an incident report for documentation. Officer was able to back semi driver onto West Main Street without incident and returned to patrol.

Well-being Check

North Ave.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 Follow-up. The caller advised that a male subject was possibly overdosing in his vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with complainant who advised Officer that a male subject was sitting in his vehicle, sweating profusely and not responding to them banging on the vehicle. He was also foaming at the mouth. Complainant also stated that male subject walked back into the apartment prior to Officer's arrival. Officer knocked several times on the door and was unable to get anyone to answer. Officer learned that a juvenile also resided there and spoke with him. Due to the circumstances and possible medical issue, Officer requested that juvenile make contact with his parents. Male subject came to the door and was under the influence of an illicit narcotic. Male subject denied doing anything illegal drugs but had several fresh track marks on his arms. Juvenile's father denied any drug usage inside the residence. Officer advised juvenile's father to keep an eye on male subject and if male subject exhibited any signs of an overdose, to contact 911 immediately. Officer then returned to patrol.

Parking Complaint

Alderwood Cir.

Officer was on patrol when Officer observed a vehicle parked illegally in front of the listed location. Officer observed a black 2017 Chrysler minivan parked on the south side of the roadway, which is not permitted, and in front of a fire hydrant. Officer then made contact with the vehicle owner.  Vehicle owner moved the vehicle and was advised he could not park on the south part of the roadway or in front of a fire hydrant. Officer then returned to patrol.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle

South Chillicothe St.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious vehicle/person. Upon arrival, Officer met with the complainant who stated that he arrived home around 2000 Hours and observed a black Ford hatchback parked in the easement north of his residence. Complainant also observed a skinny male subject kneeling down in his flowerbed on the northwest corner of his residence. Complainant confronted the male who stated that he worked for Scooter Lawn Care service and had been weeding for the past four hours. Complainant told the male to leave his property and also had to jump-start the subject's vehicle. Complainant did not want to pursue with criminal charges but wanted the male advised not to come back.  2131 Hours-Officer made contact with the vehicle owner and advised him of the incident.  Vehicle owner advised that the subject described was his son, but hasn't seen or heard from him since 1630 Hours. Vehicle owner confirmed that his son does work for Scooter's Lawn Care. Officer requested that vehicle owner give his son a message to contact Officer and also not to go back to complainant's residence. Officer will follow-up with this during Officer's next shift.

Fire Support

South Jefferson Ave.

Officer observed subject in northwest corner of the parking lot at the listed location. Subject appeared to be under the influence of an illicit narcotic.  Upon arrival, with backup, Officers made contact with subject who denied any drug usage and stated he hasn't been taking his blood pressure medication. Due to subject's behavior, Officer requested Medic to evaluate subject. Medic arrived on the scene and advised that subject's blood pressure was extremely high. Medic recommended subject go to the hospital, which he advised he would go by private vehicle. Officer made contact with subject's father and advised him of the situation. Subject's parents arrived on the scene a few minutes later. Subject's parents took care of transporting subject and his vehicle from the scene. Both units then returned to patrol.

Warrant - Misdemeanor

Perry Pk.

On the stated date and time, while on a business contact at Officer was flagged down and advised that two subjects at the listed location were arguing. Officer stood by and observed a male subject yelling at female subject, later identified as Olivia Jeffers. He was loud and using profane language. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with subjects who advised that they were not arguing, but yelling over frustrations with their current living situation. Having prior knowledge that Olivia had an entered warrant for her arrest out of the Union County Sheriff's Office for Failure to Appear on Possession of Drugs (PCPD Case #19-175-M), Officer confirmed it with dispatch. A few minutes later, UCSO Deputy arrived on the scene and took custody of Olivia. Deputy transported Olivia to the Tri-County Regional Jail. Male subject was given a warning for Disorderly Conduct.

Other Dispute

West Bigelow Ave.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a dispute. The caller stated that a customer was refusing to leave the bar. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with customer inside the bar. Customer willingly exited the business. Customer stated that she was upset because she believed the caller was adding additional charges to her tab and that the caller was stealing money from the business owner. Officer then made contact with call who that customer had become upset with her and started a verbal dispute. Caller requested Officer have Tristyn leave the business for the remainder of the night. Customer was advised and stated that she understood and would not return until she had spoken to the business owner. Officer advised customer of the consequences if her actions continued. After customer left the scene, Officer returned to patrol.

Assault - Misdemeanor

Perry Pk.

Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to an assault. Officers made contact with a male complainant and female complainant.  Both parties advised male complainant was assaulted by female complaint's uncle.  Suspect used both hands to choke male complainant after a short verbal altercation. Suspect fled the scene prior to Officer's arrival. Charges pending.  See case for further.

Driving Complaint

Alderwood Cir. S

Officer responded to the area of Darby Fields subdivision in reference to a driving complaint of a toy vehicle being operated on the roadway. While patrolling the area Officer located the toy vehicle in front of the listed address and made contact with the owner.  Officer advised homeowner, per local ordinance, toy vehicles cannot be driven on the street. Homeowner advised that she was unaware of the ordnance. Homeowner agreed not to let her son, or other family members, operate the toy vehicle on the roads or sidewalks. Officer then returned to patrol.
