Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with the caller. She advised there was a bottle of prescription cough syrup on her kitchen table that came up missing sometime tonight. She advised she did not know who had taken the medication but she wanted the incident documented.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an unruly juvenile who was refusing to go to school. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with the juvenile, then transported him to school and walked him into the office.

Suspicious Circumstances
North Mechanic St.
Officer was met on station by a resident. She advised that she received a call from a salesman. She advised that the man was selling security systems and was going to be in the Plain City area in the future. He proceeded to ask her several questions about her house. In the middle of these questions he asked, "Can you hear me now?" She replied, "yes" and then remembered hearing about such a scam. She disconnected from the call. She wanted the Police Department to be aware of the incident. Officer advised her to contact her credit card company so that they could be on the lookout for fraud and to carefully review her credit card statements for fraudulent charges and that she could also contact the Ohio Attorney General's Office about the matter.

Suspicious Circumstances

Officer was met on station by two individuals. Both advised that they wanted to report a suspicious person that had approached them at their residence. He advised that as he was pulling into his driveway a female approached him stating that she needed a ride to her dad's house. The passenger advised that they would contact an Uber driver to take her. After returning outside to speak to the female, they discovered that she was gone. Officer contacted the female via phone and spoke to her about the incident. She admitted asking for a ride. Officer advised not to contact two individuals or to be on their property in the future.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with both parties and they agreed to sleep in separate rooms for the night.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an unruly juvenile who was refusing to go to school. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with the juvenile and then transported him to school and walked him into the office.

Officer received a phone call from the owner of the listed property. He advised that his tenants called to tell him that the neighbor has been harassing them continuously. Officer told the property owner to have the tenants contact the police department if they're being harassed and the department will address it accordingly.

Officer received an anonymous complaint of a possible domestic violence incident at the listed location. The complainant stated that they heard a juvenile female scream at the top of her lungs, "stop hurting me". They knocked on the door, but were unable to get an answer. Upon arrival, Officer met with the residents and learned that the girls were arguing. Officer spoke with the girls about their actions. Officer determined everything to be fine.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a dispute. Upon arrival Officers met with both parties and they both were warned in reference to disorderly conduct.

Officer initiated a traffic stop on a blue 2007 Chevy Impala for a speeding violation that occurred near the listed location. Upon further investigation, Samuel D. Denero was subsequently charged with Speeding, Operating Vehicle while Intoxicated and OVI Concentration, Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Drugs and Offenses Involving Underage Persons.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location to meet with the resident. Officer spoke with her son about the possible consequences of a minor getting a tattoo from a non professional tattooist and obeying his mother. Officers met with the tattooist at his residence and advised to cease all contact with the juvenile and not to be giving out homemade tattoos to anyone or could face possible consequences.

Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a parking complaint. Upon arrival, Officers met with vehicle owner, who advised that she was in the process of moving her 2000 Ford SUV. She advised that she was going to the business and didn't realize that was not their parking. She thanked the Officers.

Officers observed a blue Honda parked in front of a yellow painted curb and also partially blocking the crosswalk. Officers made contact with the vehicle owner. She apologized and moved the vehicle without incident.

Suspicious Person
North Chillicothe St.
Officers were dispatched to the listed address in response a suspicious person entering callers back yard. Officers began patrolling the area searching for the male. While patrolling, Officers responded to assist another Officer who discovered multiple vehicles and several juveniles. After talking to the group they stated that they were playing a game. Upon further questioning a juvenile, who matched the given description, admitted to crossing through the backyard of the caller. All parties were advised to exercise caution when playing the game and not to cross into other people’s property. Officers advised the caller that the group was cautioned and that her suspicious person was part of that group. Without further incident Officers returned to patrol.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a 911 follow up. Upon arrival Officer spoke with an individual who advised he had accidently dialed 911 when attempting to call 411. Officer deemed everything fine.

Officer was contacted via telephone by the resident. He stated one of his neighbors is out of town for an extended period of time, and is watching the house while they are gone. He advised of a security concern. Officer made contact with the home owner via telephone in reference to the concern.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a male possibly smoking marijuana inside of a vehicle. Upon arrival Officer located a red Ford truck sitting at the listed location. Upon making contact with the driver and further investigation Steve Boyer was cited for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a non-injury private property crash. Upon arrival Officer spoke with the driver, who advised she was pulling away from a gas pump at the listed location, when she struck a metal poll on the back driver side of her red 2009 Honda. She advised she wanted a report for her insurance.

Officers were dispatched to the listed in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, Officers met with the resident. He stated that a package was to arrive but he never received it. Officers advised the resident to contact the police department with any updated information on the theft and the Officers would follow up with FedEx. After gathering all available information Officers returned to patrol.

Officers received a direct complaint from the resident in reference to an unruly child. Upon arrival Officer met with the resident and her grandson. She advised that her grandson would not listen to her and was acting up. After conversation with the grandson he advised he would behave better and listen to his grandmother.

Officer was requested by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office to respond to the listed location in reference to a possible overdose. Upon arrival medic 261 spoke to the juvenile who advised she was fine. Madison County Deputy arrived and advised Officer's assistance was no longer needed.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a behavior health change. Upon arrival medic 261 and Officer spoke with the resident. He advised the medical team that he had seen a bear eating snacks in his bedroom. He was transported to the hospital by medic 261.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a possible structure fire. Upon arrival, the Pleasant Valley Fire Department was already on scene, and there was not an active fire. Officer then learned the resident was smoking a cigarette last night, and placed it into a coffee can outside on her front porch. Soon after, a neighbor noticed smoke and flames coming from the siding. She alerted the resident and the fire was put out with an extinguisher. The apartment owner was advised and soon arrived on scene.

Officer observed a silver Volkswagen cross the double yellow line in the left turn lane. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle. Collin Conley was subsequently issued a citation for Operating Vehicle while Intoxicated and Marked Lanes.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a recovered property. Upon arrival Officer made contact with the caller. She advised she located a piece of paper. Officer then called the paper owner who advised he would come to the police department and pick the paper up so he could destroy it himself.
