Union County Juvenile Probation Officer and Officer went to the listed location in reference to suicide threat. Officers made contact with the juvenile. She was voluntarily transported to the hospital by Medic 261.

Driving Complaint

Officer was dispatched in the area of the listed location in reference to a driving complaint. Upon arrival Officer observed a black Ford Mustang that was at a complete stop. Officer made contact with the owner/driver, who was going in and out of consciousness and couldn’t answer any questions. Officer requested a Medic. After the driver was checked medics, Officer advised her to check her sugar levels before she operates a motor vehicle. A valid driver drove her home.

Officer received a report from a resident about two individuals harassing her and making obscene finger gestures toward her and her husband. Officer met with the individuals and informed them of the complaint. Officer suggested that they avoid going near the complainant's residence to avoid future confrontations. They advised that they understood.

Officer responded to the listed location at the request of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a missing juvenile. The juvenile had been reported as missing/runaway from his residence in Madison County. Upon arrival Officer made contact with the juvenile's mother. She stated that she did not know where he was and that she was unaware he was missing. Officer forwarded this information to Madison County and returned to patrol.

Officer was requested by Station 261 to assist at the listed location in reference to a medical issue. Upon arrival, Officer met with medics who were assisting the resident with an apparent leg injury.

Threatened Suicide

Officer was contacted via phone. The caller advised that she had seen where a friend had made a Facebook post and advised that he was going to end his life. She was concerned but did not know how to check on him as he lives in the Cleveland area. Officer was able to locate an address for the individual and contacted the Lake County Central Dispatch Center. Officer provided them with the caller's contact information in case further follow up was needed and also contacted the caller to advise her of the findings.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to suicide threats. Dispatch advised that Medic 261 had been dispatched to this address because the resident had called 911 saying that she wanted to hurt herself. Upon arrival Officer met with the resident then stood by until Medic 261 arrived. She was then transported to the hospital at her request.

Officer was on patrol and conducted a routine registration check on a 1999 gold Mazda truck. Officer initiated a traffic stop. Upon making contact with the driver, Ronald T. Meddles, Officer learned he had an active warrant out of Delaware County for Failure to Appear. Ronald T. Meddles was placed under arrest without incident and was issued a citation for Non Compliance, No Operator's License and Failure to Transfer Registration.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location to check the welfare of a truck driver there. Upon arrival Officer made contact with the driver. Officer advised him of the caller's concern and he stated he had parked here yesterday, but then left to make a delivery. He had returned in the evening and stayed overnight waiting to do a pick up nearby.

Officer was dispatched to the listed address in reference to a road sign that was laying in the grass. Officer retrieved the sign and advised the street department.

Officer was advised of two vehicles that were parked at the listed location, blocking the sidewalk. Upon arrival, Officer observed a blue Ford F350 and a silver Ford Focus that were both partially blocking the sidewalk. Officer made contact with the vehicle owners and advised them of the complaint and they apologized. The vehicles were moved a short time later.

Officers were requested by the resident to come to the listed address in order to talk with her grandson about software he had downloaded.  Officers spoke to the grandson about not downloading without adult permission.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a drive off. Upon arrival Officer met with an employee. She advised that a man in a black truck had pumped $39 in gas. She advised that he walked into the store and made another purchase, but did not pay for the gas. Officer located the vehicle owner and advised of the incident. Officer contacted the business owner and advised him of the findings. A short time later, the business owner called and advised that the gas had indeed been paid for.

Officer was flagged down by an employee to the listed location. She stated while taking out the trash she noticed a syringe in one of the trash bags. Officer collected the syringe, advised her to contact us with any other concerns and disposed of the syringe properly.

Officer assisted the Madison County Sheriff's Office in serving an arrest warrant at the listed location. Gary Zornes was arrested for a warrant on an indictment without incident. Once assistance was no longer necessary, Officers returned to patrol.

Officer met with the owner of the listed location in reference to a bad check. Upon speaking with the owner, Officer learned a check, on 1-15-2017 for $57.00, was returned to due the account being closed.

Officer was dispatched to the area in reference to a driving complaint. Dispatch advised a red Cadillac was swerving all over the roadway. Officer was able to locate the vehicle and made contact with the driver who was not impaired and stated he was not distracted or swerving. The driver was given a warning.

Officers were dispatched to the listed area in reference to a possible injury accident involving an SUV that ran off the road and got stuck in a ditch. Officers found the Nissan Pathfinder and learned that the driver was operating the vehicle and was subsequently placed into custody for Operating Vehicle while Intoxicated by Ohio State Highway Patrol Post 80. Officers stood by until no longer needed.

Officers while on patrol observed a black dog. Officers made contact with the pet owner and she confirmed that the dog belonged to her. The dog was returned to its owner without incident.

Officers discovered a road hazard and downed power lines and contacted Station 261. They came and advised they were indeed power lines and assisted in clearing the roadway of the tree that had fallen due to high winds.

Officers were dispatched to the listed area in order to speak with an individual. He was requesting transportation to his home. After patrolling the area Officers were unable to locate him and returned to patrol. Later an Officer went to the caller's residence and spoke to him about the incident, and the importance of not misusing the police phone line.

Officer observed a male subject laying in the middle of the roadway and a vehicle nearly strike the subject before swerving to avoid him. The subject was visibly intoxicated. Jeremy Goff was subsequently placed into custody for Persistent Disorderly Conduct and transported to Tri-County Jail where he was released into their custody.

Officer observed a maroon Dodge Caravan parked in the driveway of the listed location. Due to the vehicle not being listed on the approved parties Officer had dispatch make contact with the homeowners. They stated that the vehicle had permission to be on the property. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was dispatched to the listed area in reference to a stray canine. Dispatch advised a small black canine was loose walking through yards. Upon arrival Officer searched the area but could not locate the canine.
