Officer and a keyholder responded on an alarm drop, checked the business and determined everything to be fine.

Non-Injury Hitskip

East Main St.

Officer responded on a non-injury hit skip crash. The caller advised a red Dodge Caravan struck a road closed sign on East Main Street/SR161E and left the scene heading eastbound. A short time later, the vehicle and its owner were located. Subsequently, Richard Smith, 80, of Plain City, was issued a citation for Reasonable Control (PC Ord.#333.08a).

Officer responded on a complaint of a suspicious circumstance. Upon arrival, there were several customers in the parking lot waiting for the store to open. A short time later, an employee arrived to open the store.

Officer responded on a parking complaint. Contact was made with the vehicle owner, who moved the car without incident.

Officer responded on a residential lockout, located a door that was unlocked and later the resident found her keys.

Officers responded on a complaint of a suspicious vehicle that was parked at the business after hours. Subsequently, Kevin Frey, 31, of Plain City, was arrested and transported to Tri-County Regional Jail for Obstruction.

Shooting

Wesley Ave.

Officers responded on a complaint of a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend. Upon arrival, officers heard several gun shots. Subsequently, James LeMaster, 36, of Plain City, was charged with Felonious Assault and Domestic Violence. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
