30-Aug-21	3:51:00 PM	Road Hazard	US Rt. 42 N	Officer was advised of some type of small road hazards on US Route 42 North. Officer arrived and found pieces from, what appeared to be, traffic cones on the roadway.The pieces were picked up and disposed of.
30-Aug-21	5:12:00 PM	Telecom Harassment	Village Blvd.	Officer was met at the Police Department in reference to a telecommunication harassment complaint. Victim did not wish to pursue criminal charges but wanted no further communication from the person. Officer warned the suspect of the possibility of criminal charges if it continues. 30-Aug-21	9:16:00 PM	Drunk Driver	South Jefferson Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location because Casey McMurray, was urinating on the building. Officer arrived and found Casey in the silver 2008 Honda CRV. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle while it was in the drive thru lane. During the traffic stop, Casey denied having any weapons in the vehicle and having consumed any alcohol or drugs. After further investigation, Casey was placed under arrest for OVI. It was learned that Casey was a CCW permit holder and he said that there was not a gun in the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, the officer found a firearm in a holster on the floor board in between the driver and passenger seat. The pistol had no bullets in the chamber and the magazine was empty.  A fully loaded magazine with 12 live 9mm rounds was found within arm’s reach. The vehicle was towed back to the Police Departments impound lot by Kirbys Towing. Casey refused to submit to a breath test. Casey was then taken to Tri-County Regional jail and charged with OVI, Improper Handling of a Firearm, Disorderly Conduct and Fail to Inform Law Enforcement.	McDonald's
30-Aug-21	7:48:00 AM	Theft - Misdemeanor	John St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location for a theft offense that occurred overnight. Upon arrival, officer met with John Miller. John advised the officer that someone cut the tonneau cover over the pickup bed of his vehicle. John advised that several DeWalt power tools and two DeWalt contractor bags. John advised he was uncertain at this time what items were in the bags.
31-Aug-21	6:25:00 PM	Warrant - Felony	South Jefferson Ave.	Kenneth Mounts had an entered warrant out of the Union County Common Pleas Court for Failing to Comply with the Orders of the Court (confirmed).  Officers placed him into custody without incident. Officers with the Union County Sheriff's Office met with officers and took custody of Kenneth.
31-Aug-21	5:26:00 AM	Assist Other Agency	Plain City-Georgesville Rd.	Officer was requested to respond to Plain City- Georgesville Rd. in reference to a vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officer located a red Jeep in a ditch in front of the listed location. Officer stood by until the Ohio State Highway Patorl was on scene. Once the officers assistance was no longer needed, the officer returned to patrol.
31-Aug-21	9:14:00 AM	Unruly	West Main St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to an unruly juvenile. Upon arrival, officer made contact with the home owner.The juvenile was refusing to obey his father. The juvenile was advised to follow his father's instructions. The father was advised of the process involving filing unruly charges, but stated he did not want charges filed at this time. Once everything was under control, the officer then returned to patrol.
31-Aug-21	11:57:00 AM	Abandoned Vehicle	Lantern Ln.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a possible abandoned vehicle. The homeowner confirmed the trailer belong to someone doing some work for her. The vehicle owner was contacted and the vehicle was moved
01-Sep-21	9:48:00 PM	Loud Noise/Disturbance	North Ave.	Officer received a loud noise compliant. Upon arrival, the officer could hear music. The resident was notified  and stated the music would be turned down.
01-Sep-21	6:58:00 PM	Traffic Stop	South Chillicothe St.	Officer observed a white Ford Transit van turn from West Avenue, southbound onto South Chillicothe Street.  The officer observed that the vehicle accelerated quickly and appeared to be going above the posted 25 MPH zone, near West South Street. The driver was subsequently issued a citation for Speed, No OL and License Forfeiture.  His vehicle was moved off the roadway and he waited for a valid driver.
01-Sep-21	4:24:00 PM	Marijuana	West Main St.	Officers initiated a traffic stop with a vehicle and made contact with the vehicle driver and passenagers. During a probable cause search of the vehicle a marijuana joint was located inside of a potato chip bag in the backseat of the vehicle. One of the passenagers advised the marijuana was his and was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.

01-Sep-21	4:19:00 PM	Parking Complaint	Cooper Ln.	Officer observed a gray GMC Yukon parked in front of the listed location.  In the area in front of the residence was posted as "No Parking". Contact was made with the vehicle owner and advised of the violation. The vehicle owner moved the vehicle without incident.
02-Sep-21	1:46:00 PM	Well-being Check	Gray St.	Officer was dispatched on a well being check. Upon arrival the officer observed the garage door was partially opened. The residence was checked and it was unoccupied. Contact was made with the owner of the residence. The owner was advised of the garage door being opened and owner advised that she would get it shut.

The caller was observed by the Medics, and declined to go to the Hospital. Once the officers assistance was no longer needed, they then returned to patrol.

Madison County advised they had several driving complaints involving a vehicle. Officers stood by until their assistance was no longer needed.
02-Sep-21	8:25:00 AM	Unruly	West Main St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to an unruly juvenile. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the father and his son. The officer was advised that the juvenile had been truent from school several times and was continually failing to obey his father. The juvenile was advised to follow his father's instructions and go to school. The father was advised of the process involving filing unruly charges, but stated he did not want charges filed at this time.

Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the home owner, who stated the person was not there. The home owner was advised that if the person returned to contact the Police Department.

Upon arrival, the officer made contact with a family member and that the resident couldn't be located. The family member advised the officer, that she had reached out to other family memberts. The resident was located at another family members home.

02-Sep-21	10:34:00 AM	Animal Complaint - Other	Gay St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to an animal complaint. Upon arrival, a canine was observed on the roof of the home. The canine pushed an AC unit out of the window in order to access the roof. The canine was not in distress and was able to go back and forth between the roof and inside the residence. The homeowner, was advised of the canine. Officer then returned to patrol.
03-Sep-21	11:27:00 PM	Underage Consumption/Possession	North Chillicothe St.	Officer observed a black Chevrolet Pickup with no tail lights at the listed location. After a traffic stop was made, one juvenile was charged with Open Container and Curfew. Another juvenile was charged with Open Container, Possession of Alcohol, Curfew and no tail lights.

Officer made contact with the male, who was advsied he walked through a closed park. After determining everything to be fine, the officer then returned to patrol.	Pastime Park
03-Sep-21	1:21:00 PM	Recovered/Found Property	East Main St.	Officer was advised of a brief case was possibly left at McKitrick Park by an unknown vehicle. Officer arrived and found a metal-colored suitcase. The suitcase was empty and was taken back to the Police Department awaiting the owner of the property to claim it.
03-Sep-21	3:12:00 PM	Marijuana	North Chillicothe St.	Officers was advised of a possible road rage incident. The officer observed a black 2008 Chrysler driving too closely on East Main Street passing Church St and initiated a traffic stop at North Chillicothe St and East Main St. Officers approached the vehicle and smelled the odor of burnt marijuana from the vehicle. During the probable cause search, John Johnson, handed over a marijuana cigarette. Ronnie Lunsford told officers that he had some marijuana in a plastic bag on the floorboard by his seat. Two marijuana cigarettes were also located on the passenger side. Citiations were issued for Marjuana.

03-Sep-21	7:48:00 PM	Parking Complaint	Lantern Ln.	Officer observed two vehicles parked in "No Parking" zone. Officer made contact with the homeowner, and advised her of the situation.  The vehicle owners moved the vehicles.  After determining everything to be fine, officer returned to patrol.

04-Sep-21	10:26:00 PM	Suspicious Person/Vehicle	Shepper Ave.	Officers received a direct complaint via public service at the Plain City Police Department. The caller, advised they had heard a verbal altercation between a bystander and someone inside a vehicle. Once the altercation was over, the caller advised the vehicle and bystander were thought to be traveling towards North Chillicothe Street. Officers arrived at the listed location’s area and were unable to find the bystander and the vehicle. Officers then returned to patrol.
04-Sep-21	1:48:00 PM	Assist Other Agency	US Rt. 42 N	Officer was requested by the Union County Sheriff's Office to assist with traffic control on US 42 N near Crottinger Rd due to a vehicle crash. Officer assisted with directing traffic until no longer needed.
04-Sep-21	9:53:00 AM	Marijuana	West Main St.	Officer observed a white Lincoln Town Car traveling northbound on S. Chillicothe St. The vehicle was traveling 41mph in a posted 25 mph zone. The officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the driver. The officer conducted a probable cause search. The driver gave the officer a small bag of marijuana. The driver was cited for speed and possession of marijuana.
05-Sep-21	12:14:00 AM	Open Door	South Jefferson Ave.	Officers discovered an unsecured door open at the listed location. Officers searched the building and nothing appeared out of the ordinary. Upon our arrival, officers were advised that Michael Stowers had punched another individual. Once the altercation was broken up, Michael was arrested and charged for Assault and was transported to Tri-County Regional Jail. The individual declined to file a TPO against Michael. 05-Sep-21	6:22:00 AM	Well-being Check	Converse Ave.	Officer was dispatched to assist the Pleasant Valley Fire Department, for a well-being check. The resident was located, requested to go to the hospital and was transported.
05-Sep-21	2:42:00 PM	Suspicious Vehicle	Central Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious vehicle. The caller advised that a white panel van was parked between two sets of trees behind her house.  The officer checked the area but was unable to locate the vehicle. Later, officers were able to identify the vehicle owner and spoke with him regarding the report. The vehicle owner was advised to be aware of trespassing issues.

The officer arrived at the location and spoke with family members and learned some additional information. Officer was able to locate the individual. After determining everything to be fine, the officer returned to patrol.

The dog owner was able to catch her dog and she was advised of the leash ordinance in the Village of Plain City. Officer gave the down owner and the dog a courtesy ride to her residence.
05-Sep-21	10:04:00 PM	Loud Noise/Disturbance	North Ave.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a loud noise complaint. The caller advised the listed location was playing loud music for several hours. Upon arrival, the officer did not hear any music. Once deeming there to be no loud music from the listed location, the officer returned to patrol.
06-Sep-21	3:02:00 AM	Assist Other Agency	North Chillicothe St.	Officer responded to a request from the Upper Arlington Police Department, to see if a silver Volkswagen Passat was at the listed location.  Upon arrival, the officer checked the area but did not locate the vehicle. The Upper Arlington Police Department was notified.
06-Sep-21	5:28:00 PM	Animal Complaint - Other	South Jefferson Ave.	Officer was advised of a loose dog. The dog was found walking eastbound on Perry Pike and had a collar but no tag. Contact was made with the dog’s owner and the dog's owner was advised that the dog needed to have tags on its collar and of the possible consequences if it continued to run loose. Upon arrival, officers spoke with an employee at the listed location. After further investigation, he business owner advised that he would like the patron trespassed from the listed location indefinitely. The patron was warned for trespassing. 07-Sep-21	4:52:00 PM	Animal Complaint - Other	South Chillicothe St.	Officer was made aware by anonymous caller that a male was walking five dogs and was physically abusing them. Officer arrived at the listed location and spoke with the male regarding the report, officer was made aware at that time that three of the dogs were not registered. After determining the dogs were not being harmed, the officer warned the male for his animals not being registered and that his behavior with the dogs could result in criminal charges. 07-Sep-21	5:32:00 PM	Drunk Driver	West Main St.	Officer was requested to the listed location for a report of male passed out behind the wheel. Officer arrived on scene and found William Walchak sitting in his 2013 gold colored Volkswagen Jetta and being medically assessed by Pleasant Valley Fire Department. Officer observed open containers in the vehicle. After further investigation, William was arrested for OVI. The vehicle was impounded to our Impound lot by Kirby's towing. William was taken back to our Police Department where he submitted to a breath test and the sample returned with a 0.213 BAC, William was then taken to Tri County Regional Jail. 07-Sep-21	7:45:00 AM	Assist Other Agency	Estates Pkwy.	Officer was requested to assist Union County Sheriff's Office on report of an activated alarm. Upon arrival,  the officer met with employees who were leaving to go to a job site.  Officer confirmed that the employees were permitted to be there and then returned to patrol.
07-Sep-21	8:26:00 PM	Suspicious Person/Vehicle	Lafayette-Plain City Rd.	Officer was made aware of a suspicous semi truck that was parked on Lafayette-Plain City Rd just south of Perry Pike by the new development. Officer arrived and found a white 2003 semi Frieghtligner, pulling a trailer  parked on the gravel lot off Lafayette-Plain City Rd and Perry Pike. Officer made contact with owner, who was dropping off a delivery and was told by the contractors to wait here until tomorrow. Officer confrimed that he had a local delivery at the listed location and I returned back to patrol.
07-Sep-21	3:09:00 PM	Non-Injury Crash/Private	South Jefferson Ave.	Officer was advised of a non-injury accident that occurred in the parking lot of the listed location.  A 1995 Ford F150 struck the passenger side of a 2021 Diamond trailer with the rear passenger bumper.  This caused minor damage to Ford vehicle and moderate damage to the side of the trailer. 08-Sep-21	11:00:00 PM	Vandalism	South Chillicothe St.	Officers responded to the listed location to return a vehicle's license plate to vehicle owner. During a dispute over a vehicle, the windshield was smashed. The vehicle owner became in a verbal dispute with a former employee and was warned for disorderly conduct.
09-Sep-21	2:19:00 PM	Non-Injury Crash/Private	South Jefferson Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a private property crash. Upon arrival, the officer was informed by the business owner, that a black 2007 Honda wass parked in the lot when a Towing and Recovery tow truck was backing up when it struck the Honda. Upon arrival, the officer located a German Shephard that had a damaged leash that was being dragged. The officer made contact with the dog owner and took the canine inside the residence. The owner was warned for Dogs at Large.
09-Sep-21	10:10:00 AM	Driving Complaint	Harrington Dr.	Officer was dispatched to the area of Harrington Dr and Village Blvd in reference to driving complaints. The caller advised that several construction vehicles continue using Harrington when enroute to the construction site near Perry Pike and Lafayette Plain City Rd. Upon arrival, the officer met with a member of the construction company, who advised that several of the vehicles did use the roads. Officer advised that the drivers needed contacted to make them aware that they are not allowed to drive through the Meadows subdivision to the site. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer advised the Madison County Sheriff's Office of the vehicle and they requested the officer check the vehicle to see its reason for being on the property. Officer then made contact with the vehicle’s driver, who stated that he was recently made homeless. Officer forwarded this information to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.	Journey Community Church

11-Sep-21	4:08:00 PM	Non-Injury Crash	Park St.	Officer observed at the intersection of West Main St at Park St, Jonnie Eash who was driving a silver 2013 Ford F-150 rear ended Kelly Woodrum who was driving a grey Honda Accord. Neither party was injured. Jonnie advised that he was behind Kelly on Park St at East Main St. Kelly pulled forward and stopped as he was looking in another direction and rear ended her vehicle. Jonnie was cited for ACDA.

Officers searched the interior of the business and nothing appeared tampered with. The keyholder was notified. The keyholder arrived, resecured the business and reset the alarm. The complainant stated that she received a letter in the mail from Ohio Department of Jobs And Family Services regarding a claim. Complainant advised that she already filed a claim with ODJFS about the fraudulent claim and ODJFS told her to make a police report as well. 13-Sep-21	7:42:00 PM	Other Dispute	South Chillicothe St.	Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to some kind of threats that were made during a meeting. Officers arrived on scene and met several school employees who stated that during a passing of a new mask policy, individuals became very upset. The employees stated that the individuals left before officers arrived. The employees stated that at this time, they did not want anything done and asked to let the school handle things. 13-Sep-21	7:30:00 PM	Parking Complaint	Cooper Ln.	Officer received a called at the police department stating that a vehicle was parked on Cooper Ln., where there were no parking signs. Officer arrived on scene and made contact with vehicle owner. The vehicle owner was warned for the violation and moved the vehicle and officer returned back to patrol.
13-Sep-21	6:01:00 PM	Vandalism	Fairfield Dr.	Officer responded to a call for a juvenile complaint. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the caller and was advised that several juveniles were seen playing inside a bobcat that was parked at the listed location. The officer checked the bobcat and found it unsecured but observed no signs of damage. Also, two males then used a key to draw initials into the sidewalk. 13-Sep-21	11:55:00 PM	Driving Complaint	North Ave.	Officers responded to the listed location in reference to a driving complaint. The caller advised a dark, beat up, and older model possibly a four door Honda was driving up and down the listed location, squealing their tires at a high rate of speed with a loud muffler multiple times. While officers were responding, they observed a 1998 dark green Honda Civic driving westbound on East Main Street with a loud exhaust and heavy damage to the body of the vechile. The officers initiated a traffic stop, notified the driver about a driving complaint matching the vehicle’s description and having a loud exhaust. Once deeming the vehicle was not the vehicle in question, the driver was given a verbal warning for loud exhaust.

Officer received a notice from the zoning office stating that several vehicles and trailers were parked in front of the listed location blocking the right of way. 14-Sep-21	3:01:00 PM	Injury Crash	West Main St.	Officer was dispatched to an injury crash involving a pedestrian with a vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to Grant Hospital in serious, but stable condition. The driver was operating his 2005 Honda CRV eastbound on West Main St and stuck the pedestrian who ran in front his vehicle. The pedestrian crossed West Main St in a non-crosswalk area. Kirby’s towing took the 2005 Honda CRV for the severe damage to the window. After further invesigation, video confirmed the pedestrian did not see the driver and ran out in front to cross the street.

Officer met with the homeowner who advised she returned home today and smelled the strong odor of gas coming from the residence. The homeowner found the knobs on her stove on and no one was inside the home since the morning when they left. The homeowner stated the residence was left unsecured and nothing is missing or disturbed. The officer advised her that a report would be made to document the incident.

Officer arrived and met the caller who parked her 2009 black Kia Spectra in the residential parking spots to make a delivery to a resident. The Kia had a vehicle parked behind her preventing her from backing out. A red 2020 Honda Civic, was blocking the Kia. The second vehicle owner was contacted and advised she cannot park behind vehicles blocking them in. The second vehicle owner was warned for her disorderly behavior and told to move her vehicle.

Officers spoke with the driver, and were advised that he ran out of fuel and a mechanic was coming to bring fuel. Officers placed down flares to divert traffic around the disabled vehicle. Once assistance was no longer needed, officers returned to patrol.
