Officer was met at the Police Department in reference to a telecommunication harassment complaint. Victim did not wish to pursue criminal charges but wanted no further communication from the person. Officer warned the suspect of the possibility of criminal charges if it continues.

Drunk Driver

South Jefferson Ave.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location because Casey McMurray, was urinating on the building. Officer arrived and found Casey in the silver 2008 Honda CRV. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle while it was in the drive thru lane. During the traffic stop, Casey denied having any weapons in the vehicle and having consumed any alcohol or drugs. After further investigation, Casey was placed under arrest for OVI. It was learned that Casey was a CCW permit holder and he said that there was not a gun in the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, the officer found a firearm in a holster on the floor board in between the driver and passenger seat. The pistol had no bullets in the chamber and the magazine was empty.  A fully loaded magazine with 12 live 9mm rounds was found within arm’s reach. The vehicle was towed back to the Police Departments impound lot by Kirbys Towing. Casey refused to submit to a breath test. Casey was then taken to Tri-County Regional jail and charged with OVI, Improper Handling of a Firearm, Disorderly Conduct and Fail to Inform Law Enforcement.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location for a theft offense that occurred overnight. Upon arrival, officer met with John Miller. John advised the officer that someone cut the tonneau cover over the pickup bed of his vehicle. John advised that several DeWalt power tools and two DeWalt contractor bags. John advised he was uncertain at this time what items were in the bags.

Kenneth Mounts had an entered warrant out of the Union County Common Pleas Court for Failing to Comply with the Orders of the Court (confirmed).  Officers placed him into custody without incident. Officers with the Union County Sheriff's Office met with officers and took custody of Kenneth.

Officer was requested to respond to Plain City- Georgesville Rd. in reference to a vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officer located a red Jeep in a ditch in front of the listed location. Officer stood by until the Ohio State Highway Patorl was on scene. Once the officers assistance was no longer needed, the officer returned to patrol.

The juvenile was advised to follow his father's instructions. The father was advised of the process involving filing unruly charges, but stated he did not want charges filed at this time. Once everything was under control, the officer then returned to patrol.

Officer observed a white Ford Transit van turn from West Avenue, southbound onto South Chillicothe Street.  The officer observed that the vehicle accelerated quickly and appeared to be going above the posted 25 MPH zone, near West South Street. The driver was subsequently issued a citation for Speed, No OL and License Forfeiture.  His vehicle was moved off the roadway and he waited for a valid driver.

Officers initiated a traffic stop with a vehicle and made contact with the vehicle driver and passenagers. During a probable cause search of the vehicle a marijuana joint was located inside of a potato chip bag in the backseat of the vehicle. One of the passenagers advised the marijuana was his and was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to an animal complaint. Upon arrival, a canine was observed on the roof of the home. The canine pushed an AC unit out of the window in order to access the roof. The canine was not in distress and was able to go back and forth between the roof and inside the residence. The homeowner, was advised of the canine. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was advised of a brief case was possibly left at McKitrick Park by an unknown vehicle. Officer arrived and found a metal-colored suitcase. The suitcase was empty and was taken back to the Police Department awaiting the owner of the property to claim it.

Officers was advised of a possible road rage incident. The officer observed a black 2008 Chrysler driving too closely on East Main Street passing Church St and initiated a traffic stop at North Chillicothe St and East Main St. Officers approached the vehicle and smelled the odor of burnt marijuana from the vehicle. During the probable cause search, John Johnson, handed over a marijuana cigarette. Ronnie Lunsford told officers that he had some marijuana in a plastic bag on the floorboard by his seat. Two marijuana cigarettes were also located on the passenger side. Citiations were issued for Marjuana.

Officers received a direct complaint via public service at the Plain City Police Department. The caller, advised they had heard a verbal altercation between a bystander and someone inside a vehicle. Once the altercation was over, the caller advised the vehicle and bystander were thought to be traveling towards North Chillicothe Street. Officers arrived at the listed location’s area and were unable to find the bystander and the vehicle. Officers then returned to patrol.

The officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the driver. The officer conducted a probable cause search. The driver gave the officer a small bag of marijuana. The driver was cited for speed and possession of marijuana.

Officer was made aware by anonymous caller that a male was walking five dogs and was physically abusing them. Officer arrived at the listed location and spoke with the male regarding the report, officer was made aware at that time that three of the dogs were not registered. After determining the dogs were not being harmed, the officer warned the male for his animals not being registered and that his behavior with the dogs could result in criminal charges.
The incident was sent to MCSO and was advised to forward to the dog warden.

Officer was requested to the listed location for a report of male passed out behind the wheel. Officer arrived on scene and found William Walchak sitting in his 2013 gold colored Volkswagen Jetta and being medically assessed by Pleasant Valley Fire Department. Officer observed open containers in the vehicle. After further investigation, William was arrested for OVI. The vehicle was impounded to our Impound lot by Kirby's towing. William was taken back to our Police Department where he submitted to a breath test and the sample returned with a 0.213 BAC, William was then taken to Tri County Regional Jail.

Officer was made aware of a suspicous semi truck that was parked on Lafayette-Plain City Rd just south of Perry Pike by the new development. Officer arrived and found a white 2003 semi Frieghtligner, pulling a trailer  parked on the gravel lot off Lafayette-Plain City Rd and Perry Pike. Officer made contact with owner, who was dropping off a delivery and was told by the contractors to wait here until tomorrow. Officer confrimed that he had a local delivery at the listed location and I returned back to patrol.

The caller advised that several construction vehicles continue using Harrington when enroute to the construction site near Perry Pike and Lafayette Plain City Rd. Upon arrival, the officer met with a member of the construction company, who advised that several of the vehicles did use the roads. Officer advised that the drivers needed contacted to make them aware that they are not allowed to drive through the Meadows subdivision to the site. Officer then returned to patrol.

Neither party was injured. Jonnie advised that he was behind Kelly on Park St at East Main St. Kelly pulled forward and stopped as he was looking in another direction and rear ended her vehicle. Jonnie was cited for ACDA.

The officer advised her that report of the incident would be made.

Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to some kind of threats that were made during a meeting. Officers arrived on scene and met several school employees who stated that during a passing of a new mask policy, individuals became very upset. The employees stated that the individuals left before officers arrived. The employees stated that at this time, they did not want anything done and asked to let the school handle things. Officers advised them that a report would be made documenting the incident.

Officers responded to the listed location in reference to a driving complaint. The caller advised a dark, beat up, and older model possibly a four door Honda was driving up and down the listed location, squealing their tires at a high rate of speed with a loud muffler multiple times. While officers were responding, they observed a 1998 dark green Honda Civic driving westbound on East Main Street with a loud exhaust and heavy damage to the body of the vechile. The officers initiated a traffic stop, notified the driver about a driving complaint matching the vehicle’s description and having a loud exhaust. Once deeming the vehicle was not the vehicle in question, the driver was given a verbal warning for loud exhaust.

Officer was dispatched to an injury crash involving a pedestrian with a vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to Grant Hospital in serious, but stable condition. The driver was operating his 2005 Honda CRV eastbound on West Main St and stuck the pedestrian who ran in front his vehicle. The pedestrian crossed West Main St in a non-crosswalk area. Kirby’s towing took the 2005 Honda CRV for the severe damage to the window. After further invesigation, video confirmed the pedestrian did not see the driver and ran out in front to cross the street.

The second vehicle owner was contacted and advised she cannot park behind vehicles blocking them in. The second vehicle owner was warned for her disorderly behavior and told to move her vehicle.

Once assistance was no longer needed, officers returned to patrol.
