The caller advised she was inside her residence when she heard her garage door open. Upon arrival, Officer checked the area and did not locate anyone or observe anything unusual. Caller was advised it may be best to change the garage door setting for better security. Officer then returned to patrol.   Pending
12/6/2019 12:49 AM Suspicious Person/Vehicle West Ave. On the stated date and time, Officer was on patrol when Officer observed a female carrying several bags walking on West Avenue near Maple Street. Officer made contact with the female who advised she was just visiting a friend and was walking home. Due to the cold weather, Officer provided subject a ride back to her residence. After determining everything to be fine, Officer then returned to patrol.   Approved
12/6/2019 1:42 AM Assist Other Agency Currier Rd. On the stated date and time, Officer was requested to assist UCSO Deputy on a traffic stop on Currier Rd near US 42. Upon arrival, Officer stood by on scene until assistance was no longer needed. Officer then returned to patrol.   Approved

12/6/2019 12:52 PM Suspicious Person West Main St. On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious male. Caller advised Officer that subject has been hanging out in the parking lot behind the store for a couple of days and that she asked him why he was there.  Subject advised he lived there. Caller advised that she called the building's owner and described the subject to them.  Owners did not recognize him as a tenant. Officer advised complainant to call if they see him again. Officer then checked with other business owners in the area and spoke with one of them.  One business owner advised Officer that the described subject had been in his business several times asking questions about brake repair. Business owner advised subject advised he lived in an apartment above the one of the business' with his sister.  Officer advised several business owners in the area to call in if they see him again so PCPD can check on him.  Officer then returned to patrol.  A short time later Officer made contact with the male in question.  Subject denied looking in windows and advised the only thing he has done is change the brakes on his car. After deeming everything fine, Officer returned to patrol   Pending
12/6/2019 5:06 PM Animal Complaint - Other North Chillicothe St. On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an animal complaint. An anonymous caller advised he observed two German Shepherds running on North Chillicothe St last night around 2030 hours. The caller advised who they believed the dogs belonged to.   Upon arrival, Officer made contact with canine owner.  Officer advised canine owner of the complaints against him. Officer advised canine owner of possible consequences if his dogs were to get out. Officer then returned to patrol.   Approved
12/6/2019 5:33 PM Suspicious Person/Vehicle Lantern Ln. Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person/vehicle. The anonymous caller advised a white van was parked in front of Lantern Ln. The caller advised there was a white male with a beard sitting in the driver seat. Upon arrival, Officer observed the vehicle, a white Chevrolet truck.  Officer made contact with the vehicle driver and advised that someone in the area found it suspicious he was sitting here. Subject advised Officer he parked on the side of the street to wait for his boss to text/email him details for his next job. After deeming everything fine, Officer returned to patrol.   Approved
12/6/2019 6:12 PM 911 Follow-up West Main St. On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a 911 follow-up. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with caller who advised Officer that everything was fine and it was an accidental dial. After deeming everything fine, Officer returned to patrol.   Approved
12/6/2019 7:50 PM Driving Complaint South Chillicothe St. On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched in the area of East Main St at South Chillicothe St in reference to a driving complaint. The caller advised he observed a blue Ford SUV weaving and committing marked lanes violations when it was traveling westbound on SR161. Officer located the vehicle on South Chillicothe St near East South St and initiated a traffic stop with it. Officer made contact with the vehicle driver who showed no signs of impairment. Officer advised driver of the complaint against him which he denied. Officer then returned to patrol.   Returned
12/6/2019 9:23 PM Traffic Stop Plain City-Georgesville Rd. On the stated date and time, Officer was traveling northbound on Plain City-Georgesville Road from Converse-Huff Road. Officer was behind a silver Chevrolet SUV that appeared to be traveling above the posted speed limit. Officer activated the radar and paced the vehicle at 42 MPH in a 35 MPH Zone.  Officer also conducted a routine registration check while Officer was pacing the vehicle and learned that it returned to a suspended driver. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle on the lot of the Plain City Elementary School. Officer made contact with the driver, Sunya Heflin, and advised her why Officer stopped her.  Sunya was issued a citation for Speed (PC ORD 333.03C), OVI Suspension (ORC 4510.14) and No OL (ORC 4510.12A). Sunya was given a courtesy transport to her residence by Officer.  The vehicle was subsequently towed to the Plain City Impound lot. See corresponding numbers for further information.   Approved

12/6/2019 10:15 PM Suspicious Person South Jefferson Ave. On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with subject who advised that he was waiting for the employees to finish their closing procedures, before returning his belongings that he had left behind the counter.  Officer made contact with employee at Dollar General who confirmed subject's story.  Employee advised she did not feel comfortable opening the doors with money being out. Officer stood by until subject's belongings were returned. Officer then returned to patrol. Dollar General Store Pending
12/7/2019 8:29 AM Domestic Dispute Fairfield Dr. Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to possible domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, Officer observed the reported victim attempting to leave. Officer was able to speak with reported victim and learned that reportedly her boyfriend grabbed her by the arms and held her down. Officer asked if boyfriend hit her, reported victim advised "no". Reported victim then attempted to leave again. Officer had to stop reported victim and request photographs of alleged injuries. Reported victim refused to remove her jacket and only allowed Officer a couple of photographs before she left the residence. Officer then made contact with the boyfriend who advised Officer that at no time did he touch the reported victim. Boyfriend also advised that reported victim told him she was going to cut his coat up and call the police and say he assaulted her. Officer went and made contact with the caller at another apartment  Caller advised Officer that reported victim came over and told caller to call the police advising her boyfriend assaulted her. Caller advised reported victim did not appear hurt, but mad. Officer returned to reported victim's apartment and met with boyfriend. Boyfriend advised he was attempting to find a ride to go home. Officer later returned to patrol.   Pending
12/7/2019 8:42 AM Other Dispute North Chillicothe St. On the listed date and time, Union County Sheriff's Office Deputy responded to the listed location in reference to a dispute. PCPD was on a separate call at the time and unable to respond.  Deputy learned that subject was being disrespectful and argumentative with the homeowners. Deputy spoke with subject and warned him about being disrespectful the to homeowners. Deputy then advised homeowners the proper steps for eviction if they wish to go that route. Deputy later returned to patrol.   Pending
12/7/2019 1:09 PM 911 Follow-up East Main St. On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the area of Chillicothe Street and Main Street in reference to a 911 follow up. Dispatch made contact with a female who was at the Plain City Auction house. Upon arrival there, Officer located the caller and confirmed everything was okay. 12/7/2019 3:25 PM Fire West Ave. On the stated date and time, Officers responded to the listed location in reference to a house fire. Upon arrival, Officers observed a large amount of smoke coming from the home.  It was found that the residence was already evacuated by PVFD Chief. PVFD contained the fire. Officers then assisted with traffic control until assistance was no longer needed.   Pending
12/7/2019 8:38 PM Vandalism South Mechanic St. On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to vandalism complaint. Upon arrival , Officer spoke with complaiant who advised her vehicle was keyed. The vehicle, a black Ford Escape, was parked in front of the listed location during Christmas Under the Clock. Complainant advised sometime between 5PM and 8PM the hood of her car was keyed. Officer took photographs of the damage. Officer asked complainant if she had anyone she suspected of doing this.  Complainant advised she did not.  Officer then returned to patrol.   Pending
12/7/2019 10:09 PM Non-Injury Hitskip US 42 N On the listed date and time, Officers responded to the listed location at the request of the Union County Sheriff's Office in reference to non-injury hit skip crash.   After assistance was no longer necessary, Officers returned to patrol.   Pending
12/7/2019 4:31 AM Assist Other Agency Industrial Pkwy. On the listed date and time, Officers responded to the listed location at the request of the Union County Sheriff's Office in reference to an alarm drop.  After  assistance was no longer necessary, Officers returned to patrol. 12/8/2019 7:18 PM Suspicious Person/Vehicle West Main St. On the stated date and time, Officer was advised of a suspicious vehicle/person parked on West Main Street in front of the listed location. Upon arrival, Officer located a white 2006 International truck parked with its hazard lights on. Officer then made contact with the driver who advised he was with a group from his local church and was giving out donations and singing Christmas carols. 12/8/2019 6:11 PM Domestic Dispute North Chillicothe St. On the stated date and time, Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with 2 male subjects.  Officer learned one subject lives at the location, and the other subject stays occasionally. Resident advised he observed subject going through his property and stealing several items. When resident confronted subject, they got into an argument.  Subject pushed resident in an attempt to not let him go up the stairs. Officer then spoke with subject who denied stealing any items and stated he did not push resident. After speaking with all parties, resident did not wish to pursue with any charges.  Resient just wanted subject to leave the residence. Subject then agreed to leave the residence and not return. Once subject was off the property, Officers then returned to patrol.   Pending
