The complainant advised that he observed his neighbor kicking her dog numerous times and then locked the dog in a van that was not running. Officer made contact with subject who admitted kicking the dog as a form of punishment because the dog bit her on the arm. Officer confirmed that the dog did not have any injuries and advised subject to refrain from excessive punishment as it would lead to charges.

1/15/2018	8:15 AM	Non-Injury Crash	West Main St.	Officer was dispatched to the intersection of SR 161 and N. Chillicothe St in reference a non-injury accident. Officer made contact with both drivers.  Ashley Ellis was subsequently cited for Traffic Control Devices (ORC 4511.12). Both vehicles were towed from the scene.  Officer then returned to patrol.
1/15/2018	10:40 AM	Injury Crash	SR 161 E	Officer received a direct complaint about an injury crash in the area of SR 161 and Butler Ave. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with driver.  Pleasant Valley Fire Dept. arrived on scene and transported driver to Riverside Hospital. Kirby's towed the vehicle to their impound lot. The driver, Joshua Barry was issued a citation for Failure to Control.
1/15/2018	2:55 PM	911 Follow-up	Jackson Blvd.	Officer was dispatched in the area of Jackson Blvd in reference to a 911-follow up.  After deeming everything fine, Officer returned to patrol.
1/15/2018	2:55 PM	Disabled Vehicle	SR 161 E	Officer was dispatched the area of SR 161 East near the corporation limit in reference to a vehicle in the ditch.  A passerby was able to pull the vehicle from the ditch without incident. There was no damage to the vehicle or property. Officer then returned to patrol.
1/15/2018	5:56 PM	Civil Dispute/Standby	South Chillicothe St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a custody exchange. Upon arrival Officer met with both subjects. Custody was exchanged with no issues. Officer then returned to patrol.
1/15/2018	3:14 PM	Miscellaneous - Unclassified	Friend St.	Officer was met at the Police Department by complainant who advised someone had hacked into her cell phone disabling it. Officer instructed complainant to go to her cell phone service provider and they would be able to assist her with the issue. After deeming everything fine, Officer returned to patrol. 1/16/2018	1:40 PM	Disabled Vehicle	Foster St.	Officer was dispatched to the area of Foster Avenue in reference to a disabled vehicle. Upon arrival Officer met with subject who advised that his Dodge truck had died and was blocking the roadway. Officer and subject pushed the vehicle out of the road.  Officer then returned to patrol.
1/16/2018	1:52 PM	Theft - Misdemeanor	West Main St.	Officer received a direct complaint from the listed location in reference a theft. Officer made contact with complainant. She advised that on 12-23-2017, subject purchased pizza, salad, and tip totaling 35.99 delivered to W. 1/16/2018	6:56 PM	Road Hazard	US Rt. 42 N	Officer was notified by complainant of a large black object that was lying in the roadway on US RT 42. Upon arrival, Officer located the object and picked up all the pieces and moved them to the edge of the pavement.  After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.
1/17/2018	1:42 PM	Fight	Shepper Ave.	Officers were dispatched to the area of Shepper Avenue in reference to a fight complaint. The complainant advised that there were two males were "jumping" another male. Officers made contact with Brian Love.  After a short time, he stated that his friend “Frankie” was fighting with Tyler Smallwood. Tyler admitted to being in a fight.  Officer was given permission to search the residence for "Frankie". In doing so, Officer observed a small homemade marijuana pipe in the front bedroom. He also located Wesley Cummings aka "Frankie" hiding in a closet.  Wesley confirmed that he was in the fight with Tyler. Neither party wished to pursue with criminal charges. Tyler and Wesley were issued a summons for Disorderly Conduct. Brian admitted that the marijuana pipe was his and subsequently charged with Drug Paraphernalia and Obstructing Official Business. 1/18/2018	2:26 PM	Injury Crash	South Chillicothe St.	Officer was dispatched to the intersection of East Bigelow Avenue and South Chillicothe Street in reference to an injury crash. Upon arrival. Officer spoke with the driver of the Civic, Jessica Springer.  Jessica was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign (PCORD 331.19). See crash report/Media for further.
1/19/2018	11:28 PM	Well-being Check	Anderson Ave.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a well being check. After subject was evaluated by the medics Officer returned to patrol.
1/19/2018	5:31 PM	Civil Dispute/Standby	Converse Ave.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a civil standby. Upon, arrival Officer spoke with complainant and subject. Officer advised both parties this was a civil issue and returned to patrol.

Male subject then accelerated causing the vehicle to come in contact with complainant injuring his right hand and elbow. Complainant was treated by Medic 261 at the Police Department.  Complainant advised he only wanted a report taken. He did not want to pursue with any charges.

Officer made contact with canine owner who advised his dogs ran out while he was letting out the trash. He was given a warning for Dogs Running at Large. Officer then returned to patrol.

An anonymous complainant advised two males were going door to door attempting to recruit members for a church.  After confirming they were not soliciting, Officer advised them to contact the Police Department and obtain a no knock list. Officer made contact with subject who advised it was her sons. Officer forwarded MCSO the phone number for subject’s son. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officers made contact with Patrick Souza and female subject. Patrick was subsequently placed under arrest for Domestic Violence (ORC 2919.25). He was transported to Tri-County Regional Jail.

Westerville PD requested Officer check the listed location to see if subject had returned home. Upon arrival Officer was unable to make contact with anyone. Officer then returned to patrol.
1/9/2018	2:00 AM	CIT Incident	West Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a prowler. The caller advised someone had been on her roof and now the lights on her television keep coming on and her kitchen lights were brighter than normal. Officer did not observe any footprints in the snow, or any indication someone was on her roof.  Officer advised subject of his finding and un-plugged her television at her request. A CIT was completed.

Caller advised that he found an Arizona license plate in his lawn. After contact was made with Tucson Police Department, they advised the best course of action would be to send the plate to Arizona Motor Division, which would then return it to the owner. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer made contact with subject who advised that she received a call from an unknown person stating that she had "4 charges pending from local cops and to call as soon as possible." Officer advised that this was fraudulent.  Officer referred subject to the Attorney General's Office. Once Officer determined everything to be okay, Officer returned to patrol.

Upon arrival, Officer met with complainant and her 10 year old son. Son agreed to listen to his mother and would go to bed earlier so he could get up at the appropriate time. After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.

1/10/2018	3:51 PM	Non-Injury Crash	East Main St.	Officer observed two vehicles stopped in traffic in the turn lane on SR 161 (East Main Street) at Chillicothe Street. Upon arrival Officer made contact with the listed parties. Both parties stated that there had been a crash. For more information see crash report and photos.
1/11/2018	8:01 PM	Non-Injury Crash/Private	West Main St.	Officer, while sitting stationary at Marathon witnessed a non-injury accident in the parking lot of the listed location. Officer made contact with subject, who was backing his 2008 black Ford Taurus out of a parking spot on the east side of the business and his vehicle sideswiped an unoccupied 2008 silver GMC Envoy. 1/11/2018	8:08 AM	Assist Other Agency	Plain City-Georgesville Rd.	Officer responded to Plain City-Georgesville Road and Cemetary Pike on the report of a two vehicle non-injury crash.  Officer stood by until the Ohio State Highway Patrol arrived on scene and then returned to patrol.
1/11/2018	3:16 PM	Solicitor	West Second Ave.	Officer was dispatched in the area of 143 West Second Avenue in reference to a solicitor complaint. Officer patrolled the area for several minutes before locating a male matching the description on the roadway in front of 155 West Second Avenue. Officer identified the male as, Paul E. Williams Jr. Paul who advised he worked for, T.O.P Marketing, out of Columbus and he was making contact with people from a list in an attempt to save them money on their energy bills. Mr. Williams was released and issued a summons for Peddler/Solicitor (PC ORD 723.01).

Complainant advised someone told him they observed the vehicle in the driveway of Titus Rd, Raymond, Ohio. Deputy advised the vehicle was in the driveway.  Officer then returned to patrol.

1/12/2018	7:59 PM	Recovered Stolen Vehicle	West Main St.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person(s). The complainant advised two white males had walked in and out of the business multiple times without purchasing anything.  Officer made contact with a white male seated in the driver seat of the vehicle that identified himself as Larry Taylor, Jr.  A second Officer arrived on scene and made contact with a male that identified himself as, Corey Pazder, inside Mike’s Pit Stop. After further investigation it was found that the Jeep and the vehicle registration were stolen. Both parties were charged with Receiving Stolen Property. See Case/Media for further.	Mike's Pit Stop

Upon arrival, Officer was unable to locate anything out of the ordinary. After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.
1/12/2018	7:42 PM	Assist Other Agency	SR 161 E	Office was requested by Ohio State Highway Patrol Post 49 to assist with a disabled vehicle on SR 161 near Warner Rd. The driver advised he was not injured just needed help getting back on the road. A passerby with a pick-up truck assisted with pulling the vehicle out of a ditch. After deeming everything fine Officer returned to patrol.

1/13/2018	1:06 AM	Parking Complaint	West Main St.	Officer observed a maroon Chevy S-10 parked in front of the listed location. Due to a snow emergency Officer attempted to make contact with the vehicle owner.  Officer was unable to make contact with the owner. 1/13/2018	1:18 AM	Assist Other Agency	SR 161 W	Officer stopped at SR 161 near Kramer Road to assist Deputy of the Union County Sheriff’s Office with a disabled vehicle. While assisting with the vehicle Officer stepped on ice which caused him to fall and strike the back of his head. After speaking with the medics Officer was transported for evaluation.
1/13/2018	8:48 PM	Domestic Dispute	Fairfield Dr.	Officer was dispatched to Fairfield Drive in reference to a courtesy transport.  Subject advised dispatch that she was homeless and needed a ride to West Jefferson.  Upon arrival, Officer met with subject and transported subject to the Big Darby Baptist Church where she was relayed to West Jefferson Police Department.  After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.
