Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a juvenile issue. Upon arrival Officer met with the caller. She advised that she babysits small children in her residence. She said that today there was an incident with two of the children. She advised that one child's father got upset. The caller requested that the Officer speak to the father and advise him not to contact her or return to her residence.

Officer responded to the roadway on the listed street in reference to a suspicious male in the roadway. Upon arrival Officers observed Markus Oliver walking in the roadway. When he became belligerent and agitated, Markus Oliver was placed under arrest for Persistent Disorderly Conduct and Carrying Concealed Weapons.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a loose dog. Officer met with the caller who stated the dog just stopped by and he let it in before advising the police of the loose dog. A short time later, Officer was advised of the dog owner and brought the dog back to the listed location, where the pet owner picked up the dog. Officer advised him to make sure to secure his dog.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a 911 hang up. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with the caller who explained that he must have accidentally dialed 911 while searching for church music on his cell phone. Officer concluded everything to be fine.

Officer made contact with Paul "Jarod" Lester at the listed location in reference to a confirmed warrant for Failure to Report to Jail on a Non-Support out of the Union County Juvenile Court. He was placed into custody without incident and transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.

Officer was dispatched to the McDonalds in reference to a non-injury crash. The caller advised that there had been a crash but that they had moved their vehicles to McDonalds due to traffic. Upon arrival Officer met with the involved parties. Both parties exchanged insurance information and photos were taken.

Officer observed a silver GMC Sierra parked in front of the listed location. Officer made contact with the driver. He stated that he was dropping off used feed sacks to the listed location before returning home. Officer determined everything checked okay.

Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a loud noise complaint. Officer made contact with the residents. They stated they were moving things around in the kitchen. Officer advised them to keep the noise down.

Officer received a call about a cat sitting in the middle of the listed street. The caller stated that the cat appeared to be injured as it was bleeding from its face and it didn't care to move as she was driving up the street. Upon arrival, Officer tried to get the cat into an animal carrier with the assistance of a neighbor. The cat suddenly took off running. Officer was then unable to locate the cat.

Officer conducted a routine registration check on a green Jeep Cherokee. Officer learned the registered owner had a temporary instructor permit with restrictions. Officer made contact with the driver/owner and passenger. Officer advised that he was operating the vehicle during restricted hours for the permit. Officer contacted both juvenile’s guardians. The driver was subsequently issued a citation Operating a Vehicle Outside of Temporary Permit Restrictions. Both juveniles were cited for curfew violations.

While conducting a community contact at the listed location, the store manager advised of a bad check complaint. She said that an individual wrote a check to the business for $39.00 back in September. The check was returned to the business as Account Closed and she has been unable to make contact with the individual. Case pending.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a littering complaint. The complainant stated that someone had dropped off a large wooden object near their water fountain. Upon arrival Officer checked the area but could not determine who dropped off the object. Officer made contact with the complainant via public service. She stated that since it was not reported missing they would dispose of it.

Officer was dispatched to listed location in reference to a 911 unknown. Dispatch advised they received a call, but the caller hung up before speaking and did not answer any call backs. Upon arrival Officer learned two individuals got into a verbal altercation and left the building but then attempted to get back in the building to get personal property. This caused another verbal argument. The scene was deescalated and no one wished to pursue with any charges. Officer determined everything to be fine.

Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a loose dog. Upon arrival to the listed location Officers found the runaway dog with a chain that was wrapped around bushes. Officers untangled the dog and made contact with the pet owner. He stated that the dog had pulled the stake out of the ground. Officers released the dog to him and returned to patrol.

Officers conducted a follow-up to a neighbor dispute over parking that occurred earlier in the day. Officers met with the individual. She stated that she was upset that the police were called. Officers warned the individual not to threaten her neighbor. Both parties were advised to contact the police and landlord if any issues arose.

Officer was contacted in reference to a telecommunication harassment complaint. She stated that her ex boyfriend had been texting and calling her nonstop. She requested Officer contact the boyfriend and advise him to stop contacting her. Officer then made contact with the boyfriend. He apologized and stated that he would have no further contact with the complainant.

Neighbor Dispute
West South St.
Officer was met on station by the complainant. She advised that she had just been in a verbal altercation with her neighbor over parking at their apartment building. She advised that she wanted the Police Department to be aware of the incident in case there are further issues, She also requested that the Officer speak with the neighbor about the incident. Officer attempted multiple times to make contact the neighbor but no one was home.
