Officer was dispatched to the area of SR161E in reference to a driving complaint. Officer located the vehicle on East Main Street near Jackson Blvd. Officer followed the vehicle and observed no violations. Officer stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver.  Driver advised she was lost and was unaware that Cosgray Road was closed. Officer assisted driver with directions and advised her to be careful on her trip. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was requested by the Madison County Sheriff's Office to deliver a message to subject.   Upon arrival, Officer met with subject and relayed the message from Madison County Sheriff's Office. Officer relayed information to Madison County SO; Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer could hear music clearly audible from the roadway and adjacent areas. Officer made contact with employee, who was sitting in the patio area. Officer advised employee that the music was in violation of the noise ordinance and that it would need turned down. Officer advised employee of the possible consequences if the noise ordinance continued to be violated. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer observed a white Chevrolet pick-up truck pulling a utility trailer with no registration and only had one operational brake light. Officer  initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the vehicle driver, his passengers, one of which was Robert Mitchell. After further investigation, it was found that Robert had an active warrant out of Delaware County Sheriff’s Office (Genoa Township) for Failure To Appear on a traffic offense. Robert was placed in custody for his warrant and transported to Tavern 42 where Genoa Twp. Offficer took custody of Robert. Officer then returned to patrol.

Recovered/Found Property

Village Blvd.

A firefighter from the Pleasant Valley Fire Department turned in some property that someone turned into them. The property was two shotgun shells that were found by the unknown person on their property and wanted to dispose of them. The two shotgun shells were properly disposed of.

Village Administrator requested that Officer check on an abandoned vehicle that was behind the listed location.  Upon arrival, Officer made contact with vehicle owner's brother who advised he just hasn't had time to move it.  Officer advised him that Officer would give his contact information to the Village Administrator and he could talk with him about getting it moved.  See media for further information.

Upon further review, there were slight scratches to the license plate bracket on the front of the Honda and scratches on the driver's side rear wheel panel of the Toyota. The owner of the Toyota was notified of the damage. Officer then returned to patrol.

While on routine patrol, Officer observed subject walking westbound in the middle of West Ave at Willowbend Cir.  Officer repeatedly advised subject to get back on the sidewalk and off the roadway. Officer requested more units and the medics to start Officer's way. Medic 261 arrived on scene and took subject to hospital. Contact was made with subject's mother.  Officer will follow up during his next shift.

While on routine patrol, Officer observed what appeared to be an injured animal.  The rabbit had been run over and was in obvious distress.  Officer dispatched the animal.  Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer was advised complainant contacted Dispatch for a parking complaint and for people who have walked on her property.  When Officer asked complainant about her complaints she advised Officer to disregard.  Officer attempted  to do a well being check , but received no answer at the door.  A short time later, complainant's daughter called and advised that complainant was now with her husband at the doctor's office and safe. Officer then returned to patrol.

With subject being underage to smoke, Officer contacted mother, who arrived on scene a short time later.  Officer spoke with subject and re-advised of the severity of his actions of how they could result in possible charges. Officer then returned to patrol.

Complainant stated that someone illegally dumped two mattresses in his work dumpster, and the dumpster company would not pick it up. Through some investigation, Officer was able to find out who illegally dumped the mattresses. Officer advised suspect that he needed to remove the property as soon as possible. Officer advised complainant of the situation and returned to patrol.
