During a probable cause search, drugs and drug paranphernalia were located. Also recovered was a possible stolen license plate. An investigation is ongoing and possible charges pending lab analysis.

Officer responded on a complaint of a vehicle speeding and unable to maintain lanes. A traffic stop was initiated with the vehicle. Contact was made with the driver, who had glossy eyes and slurred speech. There was also a strong odor of alcohol. Subsequently, Laura Kleinschmidt, 55, of Powell, was arrested and charged with OVI, Markes Lanes, Speed and Open Container. She was released to a responsible party.
