Officer responded on a complaint of loud music coming from a vehicle, canvassed the area, did not locate the vehicle and heard no music.

Officers responded on a report of a young male who stated he was being followed. Officers canvassed the area did not locate the young male and did not observe anything suspicious or out of the ordinary.

Marijuana

US Rt. 42 N

A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle, where the driver was focusing on her phone instead of the road. Upon approach, officers could detect an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted, raw marijuana was located in the vehicle and an open container of alcohol was found. The driver should no signs of impairment. Subsequently, the driver, Emily Lena, 40, of Springfield, was issued a citation for NO OL and Judgment Suspension and warned for Distracted Driving. The passenger, Patrick McCarthy, 36, of Springfield, was charged with Marijuana Possession and Marijuana Paraphernalia. A valid driver drove the vehicle form the scene.

Officer responded on a solicitor complaint knocking on residences that were on the no knock registry. Contact was made with the Solicitor, who had a valid permit, and was reminded to review the No Knock Registry.

Officer responded on a complaint of identity fraud. The caller advised, someone filed an unemployment claim in his name. He advised he has already been in contact with his bank and the Ohio Attorney General's Office. An incident report was taken.
