Officer responded to the area of West Ave in reference to a solicitor’s complaint. Officer made contact with subject.  Officer explained the steps necessary to obtain a permit and advised if subject continued to go door-to-door, without a permit, he would receive a citation. Subject agreed to walk to his pick-up point and cease all solicitation. Officer patrolled the area in order to verify his arrival at McDonalds. Officer then returned to patrol.

Parking Complaint
SR 161 W
Officer received a direct complaint of a white semi tractor parked somewhere east of the intersection of S. Jefferson and SR161. Officer attempted to make contact with the driver but the cab was empty. Officer then drove to McDonalds in an attempt to find the driver but was unsuccessful. Officer returned to the area where the semi tractor was parked and it was no longer there. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a Burglary.  Complainant stated that he did not know anyone who would have taken his items. Officer checked with the neighboring residences but no one observed anything outside of the ordinary. Officer then returned to patrol.  See case for further

Officers were advised by the Union County Sheriff's Office of a Burglary in progress.  Once assistance was no longer needed, Officers returned to patrol.

Central Ave.
Officer was met at the Police Department by complaint in reference to a domestic dispute.  Officer then made contact with subject at the listed location. Subject stated that everything was calm now and that there would be no issues when complainant returned home. Officer answered subject’s questions about the eviction process and then returned to patrol.

Currier Rd.
Officer responded to the listed location to remove a club from an immobilized vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with subject. Officer advised subject that he would be removing the club from his silver Subaru per Marysville Municipal Court. Once the club was removed Officer returned to patrol.

South Jefferson Ave.
Officer was dispatched to North Avenue to meet with a subject in reference to a stolen phone. Upon arrival Officer met with the caller.  Caller advised Officer he does not want to pursue with charges if the phone is returned.  On 9/24/18 Officer met with the caller at his residence. The caller was advised the Officer is unable to locate the phone or a possible suspect.  The caller advised he has replaced the cell phone and reported the other one stolen to AT&T. Officer advised the caller to contact PCPD if AT&T recovers the device later.

Officer met with complainant in reference to a check that was stolen and fraudulently cashed.  Complainant learned from the Child Support Enforcement Agency that the check had been cashed. See case for more information.

Driving Complaint
West Ave.
Officer was dispatched to a driving complaint involving a motorcycle that had passed several vehicles on West Avenue. The caller advised the vehicle then drove to Coachman Drive where it was parked in the yard. Officer made contact with homeowner who advised Officer that she was unaware the motorcycle was in her yard. Homeowner was advised to have subject call Officer about the incident.

Officer observed two parking violation. A tan 2018 Buick and a green 2006 Toyota were parked in the driveway of the listed location, blocking the sidewalk. Officer then left a note on each car advising not to park on the sidewalk. Officer then returned to patrol.  See media for further.

Officer was requested by UCSO to respond to the listed location in reference to a narcotic sniff of a vehicle. After assistance was no longer needed Officer returned to patrol.

Officer was on patrol when Officer observed a silver 2008 Chrysler van parked in the driveway of the listed location, blocking the sidewalk. Officer then left a note on the vehicle, advising not to park on sidewalks. Officer then returned to patrol.  See media for further.

Officer was met on station by complainant who advised that she believed that her wallet was stolen out of her car while she was at the Marathon gas station on Wednesday. Complainant advised that she had already contacted her bank and credit card companies, but wanted the Police Department to be aware.  Approximately 10 minutes after leaving the Police Department, complainant advised that she had located her wallet inside her residence under the couch. Complainant advised that nothing was missing from it.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location to meet with the facility manager in reference to a problem with a patient's son. Officer contacted subject by phone. Officer advised him of the request from the facility not to call or come to the facility. He advised he understood and would speak with his sister who has power of attorney over their mother.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to telecommunications harassment. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with the caller who advised subject had sent her text messages threatening her.  Officer advised caller to avoid any contact with subject. Officer went and spoke with the owner of the phone who advised subject occasionally stays with her and possibly used her phone. Officer advised her to contact Officer the next time she speaks with subject.
Subject does not have a valid phone.

Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a 911 follow up. Dispatch advised a 911 only phone had called and it sounded like a child was playing on the phone mapping near the listed location. After deeming everything fine, Officer returned to patrol.

Officer received a call at the police department from complainant.  Complainant advised her son has visitation with his father this weekend. Complainant advised her son was being punished for being on his Xbox too long. He told his mother that part of the punishment was that his father would not allow him to eat anything.  Upon arrival at the residence, Officer made contact with the father who already knew why Officer was there.  Father stated that he didn’t deprive his son of food as mother stated. Officer thanked father for his time and returned to patrol.  Officer made contact with the mother a short time later and advised her of his findings.

While on routine patrol, Officer observed a silver Chrysler Town and Country van was blocking the sidewalk as it was parked in the driveway. Officer made contact with homeowner and advised him of the situation. Homeowner advised that the vehicle belonged to his father and homeowner wanted Officer to speak with his father, who was not home.  Homeowner also moved the vehicle without incident. Officer then returned to patrol.

Traffic Stop
US Rt. 42 N
Officer conducted a routine registration check on a blue Ford Ranger traveling northbound on US 42 near North Chillicothe Street. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the vehicle driver, Clinton Henry and his passenger. Officer then learned Clinton had two active warrants out of the Union County Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Appear on a Traffic Offenses and an active warrant out of Logan County Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Appear on a No Fishing License Charge. Clinton was transported to the Tri-County Jail where he was booked in on his active warrants, No Valid, OL, Child Support Suspension, Failure to Reinstate and Drug Paraphernalia.
