Protection Order Violation
West Main St.
While on patrol Officer observed Josh Writesel enter the listed location with two individuals. Having prior knowledge of a protection order out of Union County, Josh is not to be in contact with one of the individuals. Josh Writesel was subsequently placed under arrest for a Protection Order Violation without incident.

Road Hazard
South Jefferson Ave.
Officer was dispatched to listed location in reference to a road hazard. Dispatch advised the metal plates covering holes in the road way were separated, causing a driving hazard. Upon arrival Officer located the plates that were partially off of the roadway, uncovering a hole. Officer contacted the street department, then conducted traffic control until the plates were secured.

Failure to Pay
West Main St.
Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a gas drive off. The caller advised that a brown Volkswagen 4 door had pumped $28.35 of gasoline and left without paying for it. Officer and a Union County Sheriff's Deputy checked the area but did not locate the vehicle. An employee provided a description of the vehicle, driver and passenger. Investigation pending.

Maple St.
Officer was dispatched to the listed area in reference to a loose dog. Upon arrival Officer located a small tan puppy and transported it to the Police Department until the Union County Dog Warden arrived.

Road Hazard
South Jefferson Ave.
While on patrol Officer observed a bolt sticking up from the steel plates covering a trench across the roadway. Officer then made contact with the construction crew working in the area and advised them of the issue. They advised that it was not a hazard because the black top around the bolt was loose and if a vehicle struck the bolt, it would move. A short time later Officer received two others call about the bolt sticking up. Officer again made contact with the construction supervisor for the company working on the road, who advised that they would move the plates and attempt to better secure them so there were no further issues. Officer then spoke with the Public Works Superintendent and advised him of the issues with the plates and bolts holding them down.

Theft - Misdemeanor
Guy St.
While at the police department, Officer received a call in reference to a theft complaint. She stated that her company takes care of the resident at the listed location. She advised that his nephew took the resident to an event and purchased $40 in gas instead of the $10 the company allotted. The nephew admitted to putting $40 worth of gas in his car. He apologized and stated that he would pay the company back the $30.

While on routine patrol, Officers observed Tyler Smallwood and two individuals sitting at a picnic table at the listed location. Having prior knowledge of two misdemeanor warrants out of the Madison County Municipal Court for Failure to Appear on Offenses Involving Minors and Complicity to Commit Theft. Tyler Smallwood was placed into custody without incident.

Officers were dispatched to the listed address in reference to a parking complaint. Upon arrival Officers found a Silver Toyota 4Runner parked in front of the listed address' driveway. Officers made contact with the owner and advised him to move his vehicle. He did so without incident.

Officers were dispatched to the listed address in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival Officers met with the resident, who stated that she had a Halloween decoration stolen. Incident was documented.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a theft. Upon arrival Officer met with the caller. She advised that someone stole Halloween decorations from her front yard. She advised that she wanted the Police Department to be aware of the incident.

Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a theft of Halloween decorations. Upon arrival, Officers met with the caller who stated that there several Halloween decorations that were stolen from their residence. Officers patrolled the area, but didn’t locate anything out of the ordinary

While on routine patrol, Officer noticed the speed limit sign on the listed street had been struck by a car and knocked down. Officer found part of a plastic bumper and an inner wheel well cover that appeared to be from this crash as well. Investigation pending.

Officer conducted a routine registration check on a white Chevy Traverse on the listed location and learned that the registered owner was under suspension. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle. Damion M. Burke was subsequently issued a citation for No Valid Operator’s License, Non Compliance Suspension and a Judgment Suspension.

Officer conducted a routine registration check on a silver Mercury Grand Marquis and learned that the registered owner was under suspension. David A. Winkler Jr was subsequently issued a citation for No Valid Operator’s License and a Court Suspension.

Officers were on routine patrol at the listed location, and observed a blue Dodge pick-up parked in the southeast corner. Upon closer inspection, Officers observed a male and female who appeared to be engaging in lewd conduct. Tyler Hay was subsequently placed into custody for Public Indecency and Drug Paraphernalia.

Officer observed a known male individual in the garage behind the listed location. Having previous knowledge the male was not permitted to be on the property. Upon speaking with the individual's mother, who advised he is allowed on the property. Officer then returned to patrol.

Officer responded to the Police Department in reference to found property. Upon arrival Officer spoke with an individual, who advised that when she was running she found a credit card near the listed location. The credit card company was called and advised they would be in contact with instructions to either destroy the card or the card holder would be in to pick it up.

Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious vehicle/person. Dispatch advised a male was walking around a dark truck with its flashers on. Upon arrival Officer made contact with vehicle owner, who advised his 1994 Ford F-150 was disabled and a tow truck was en route. Officer determined everything to be fine.

While on routine patrol, Officer observed a black Chrysler 300 parked on the lot of the listed location. Officer also observed three of the vehicle's doors open and subjects sitting inside. Officer made contact with the three individuals who were waiting for their ride to show up. Officer determined everything to be fine.

Officers was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival Officer met with the caller in the nearby parking lot. She was visibly intoxicated, stated her boyfriend, gave their daughter to a babysitter for the night without her permission. After a lengthy conversation, the caller agreed to sleep in another apartment for the night.

Officer was flagged down in front of the listed location. The victim reported that several of his Halloween decorations were stolen and wanted to make sure the Police Department were aware of the incident. The resident thanked the Officer for his time.
