1/1/2018	3:09 PM	Non-Injury Crash	South Jefferson Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the intersection of SR 161 and US 42 in reference to a non-injury crash.   James Rogers stated he failed to stop for a red light.  The blue Nissan pickup truck that was traveling eastbound on SR 161 struck the left tire of the trailer that was in the intersection.  James was issued a citation for Red Light Violation (PC Ord. 313.03c1) and a crash report completed.
1/1/2018	7:06 PM	Warrant - Misdemeanor	North Chillicothe St.	While on patrol Officer initiated a traffic stop for speed and made contact with the vehicle driver, Charles Snyder and his passenger Kenneth Czarnecki. After further investigation, it was found that Kenneth had a confirmed warrant out of the Marysville Police Department for failure to appear on a narcotic equipment charge. It was also found Charles did not have a valid driver’s license.  Kenneth was placed in custody for the above warrant and was released to the Marysville Police Department. Charles was issued a citation for driving under a License Forfeiture Suspension (ORC 4510.111A) and No Valid OL (4510.12A1). Charles was given a verbal warning for speed. The vehicle was driven off by a valid driver. Officer then returned to patrol.

1/2/2018	10:37 AM	Animal Complaint - Other	West First Ave.	Officer responded to the listed location on the report of a K9 that had been left outside for the last several days. After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.
1/2/2018	12:34 AM	Suspicious Person/Vehicle	South Chillicothe St.	Officer observed a blue Nissan parked at the entrance of the listed location. Officer made contact with the vehicle’s driver and his passenger. Officer advised both parties that the school was closed and they could not be on the property after hours. They stated that they understood and would park in front of the passenger’s residence. Officer then returned to patrol.	Plain City Elementary School
1/2/2018	8:49 AM	Non-Injury Crash	SR 161 E	Officer responded to the listed location on the report of a non-injury crash. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with vehicle driver of a black Chevy Silverado and Jessica Barlage, who was driving a gray 2011 Ford Fusion.  Jessica advised that she did not slow quickly enough and hit the right rear bumper of the truck. Jessica was issued a citation for ACDA (PC Ord. 333.03A) and her vehicle had to be towed from the scene. See corresponding numbers for further information.

1/2/2018	6:06 PM	Road Hazard	Gay St.	Officer was dispatched to the intersection of Gay St. and West Ave. in reference a water main break. After checking the hazard, this information was relayed to the Village of Plain City Street Dept to fix the issue. Officer then returned to patrol.

1/4/2018	8:47 PM	Suspicious Circumstances	Gay St.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, Officer observed a black SUV with its rear driver side door ajar. Officer attempted to make contact with the vehicle owner but was unable to make contact. Officer secured the door to the vehicle and left a business card on the driver seat. Officer then returned to patrol.
1/4/2018	5:04 PM	Well-being Check	North Chillicothe St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a well-being check.  Multiple attempts were made to make contact with subject at his residence but was unsuccessful. A business card was left for Richard with a note to contact the Police Department as soon as possible.
1/5/2018	10:55 PM	911 Unknown	Jackson Blvd.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a 911 unknown.  Officer checked the area but was unable to locate anything out of the ordinary. Officer then returned to patrol.
1/5/2018	11:58 PM	Motorist Assist	Perry Pk.	Officer responded to listed location in reference to a disabled vehicle. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with subject who stated that her vehicle had run out of gas and all the stations nearby were closed. Officer provided subject with enough gas to start her vehicle and park it at her father’s residence. Officer then returned to patrol.
1/5/2018	3:13 PM	Traffic Stop	West Main St.	Officer conducted a routine registration check on a white Chrysler 300. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the driver/owner, Chad Gonzales, suspended driver.  Chad was issued a citation for driving under a Non-Compliance Suspension (ORC 4510.16a) and No Valid OL (ORC 4510.12A1). The vehicle was transported to the Plain City Police Dept. impound lot by Kirby’s Towing.
1/6/2018	7:09 PM	Suspicious Person/Vehicle	North Ave.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person/vehicle. The complainant advised a black Dodge Charger was parked in the lot for a long time and she did not recognize it. Officer’s made contact with the vehicle owner and her passenger.  After further questioning, the vehicle owner and her passenger were advised they were free to leave.	Darby Apartments
1/6/2018	6:27 PM	Well-being Check	North Chillicothe St.	On the stated date and time, Columbus Police Department requested Officer check the residence for a well-being check.  Officers checked the residence but were unable to make contact with anyone at the residence.
1/6/2018	4:10 PM	Message Delivery	Friend St.	Officer received a call at the police department from subject for a message delivery.  Officer delivered the message via public service.	Plain City Police Department
1/6/2018	1:39 PM	CIT Incident	Fairfield Dr.	Officer received a call at the police department from complainant who stated that there was a white female walking in the woods near South Chillicothe Street again. Officer located subject at her residence who admitted that it was her.  Dispatch was able to contact her son who arrived a short time later and stated that he would stay with her for a while and calm her down.  Officer then returned to patrol. CIT Report was completed and attached.
1/6/2018	11:25 AM	Assist Other Agency	SR 161 E	Officer was dispatched to SR 161 in reference a suspicious circumstance on behalf of Madison Co. Sheriff’s Office. Dispatch advised that empty television boxes were left on the roadside. Officer was able to contact the owner and advised to pick up the debris or risk a charge for Littering. Officer then returned to patrol.
1/7/2018	11:20 PM	Harassment/Menacing	West Main St.	Officers were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person. Officers then made contact with the caller who advised she recently broke up with her boyfriend who showed up knocking on the door.  Officer advised subject to leave caller alone and to not come back to the listed location.
1/7/2018	7:48 PM	Warrant - Misdemeanor	Shepper Ave.	Officers attempted to service a warrant at the listed location. We made contact with Tyler Smallwood who had a warrant out of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office for a parole violation. Officer placed Tyler into custody and transported him to the Tri-County Regional Jail where he was booked in on the above warrant. See attached media for futher.

1/7/2018	10:45 AM	Animal Complaint - Other	East Main St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference a loose canine.  Later, the dog was located. Subject was warned for dogs at large.
1/7/2018	3:44 AM	Domestic Dispute	North Ave.	Officers responded to the listed location in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, Officer made contact with subjects.  Female subject stated that she had been involved in a verbal dispute with male subject.  Once the parties were separated Officers returned to patrol.

12/25/2017	5:20 PM	Warrant - Misdemeanor	North Chillicothe St.	Officer conducted a routine registration check on a maroon Chevy Silverado.  The registration returned to Charles Hoffman Jr., a suspended driver. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the driver/owner Charles Hoffman Jr. and advised him why he was stopped.  Officer also made contact with the front seat passenger, Heather Hoffman. After further investigation, it was found Heather had a confirmed warrant out of the Union County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a disorderly conduct charge. Charles was issued a citation for Non-Compliance Suspension x2 and No valid OL. Heather was transported to the Tri-County Jail and booked in on the above warrant.
12/26/2017	3:20 PM	Well-being Check	Converse Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference a well-being check. After determining everything to be okay, Officer returned to patrol.

12/27/2017	8:22 PM	Telecom Harassment	Converse Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a telecommunications harassment complaint. Upon arrival, Officer met with the complainant who stated she was receiving Facebook Messenger messages from two subjects. The messages were not threatening in nature, but complainant requested that Officer contact subjects to stop all contact with her.  Officer made contact with subject advised her of complainant’s request. She was also advised to deliver the message to her husband as well. Subject was advised of the possible consequences if they contacted complainant.
12/27/2017	3:22 PM	Animal Complaint - Other	Guy St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a neglected canine. Officer made contact with canine owner as he was bringing in his dog. Once determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.

Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the drivers of both vehicles. Officer completed an exchange of information form for both drivers and took photos of the vehicles. 12/27/2017	12:00 AM	Drunk Driver	US Rt. 42 N	Officer was advised by dispatch of a drunk male at Blues Creek Meats.  Officer located the vehicle and stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver and only occupant Lance Kirkman. Lance was subsequently placed in custody for OVI and Open Container.  Lance was issued a Citation for OVI, OVI super concentration, and Open Container.
12/28/2017	12:53 AM	Civil Dispute/Standby	North Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a civil standby. Once subject left the residence without incident, Officer then returned to patrol.

12/29/2017	8:15 PM	Theft - Misdemeanor	Lantern Ln.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an unauthorized use of a credit card. Upon arrival Officer spoke with complainant who advised there was a total of $562.32 in purchases she did not authorize on Wal-Mart and Eastbay websites. Complainant advised she had already been reimbursed for the fraudulent purchases but wanted the incident documented.  Officer then returned to patrol.
12/29/2017	1:02 PM	Parking Complaint	West Main St.	On the stated date and time, complainant called the police department and requested that a unit make contact with subject and advise him not to park on their lot during normal business hours. Upon arrival, Officer met with subject and advised him of the complaint. Officer suggested subject call the business owner in the future and ask permission to park there, but subject declined to do that. Officer then returned to patrol.	Plain City Animal Hospital
12/29/2017	11:41 AM	911 Follow-up	Village Blvd.	Officer responded to the listed location on an accidental 911 call. The caller advised that her Apple watch dialed 911 by mistake and that everything was fine. After determining everything to be fine, Officer returned to patrol.	Hydro Spray Car Wash
12/29/2017	9:17 AM	Suspicious Person/Vehicle	North Ave.	Officer responded to the area of the listed location in reference to a woman who allegedly exited a silver SUV and tried to take a dog from the front yard. The woman got back into her SUV without the dog and left the area in an unknown direction of travel. The caller did not want to see an officer. Officer patrolled the area but did not locate a vehicle matching that description.

12/30/2017	12:34 PM	Warrant - Felony	Spaulding Ave.	On the stated date and time, UCSO Deputies and PC Officer were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a verbal dispute. Upon arrival Officer and Deputies met with Tiffani Capozzi and two other subjects. After further investigation, it was found that Tiffani had a full extradition warrant out of the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office (Florida) for violation of drug offender probation. Officer then placed Tiffani in custody in reference to the above warrant. Tiffani was also issued a citation for marijuana drug paraphernalia. Officer transported Tiffani to the Tri-County Regional Jail where she was booked in on the above warrant. See media for further.
12/30/2017	12:00 PM	Road Hazard	East Main St.	On the stated date and time, I was dispatched in the area of East Main Street near East Bigelow Avenue in reference to a road hazard. Upon arrival with the Street, Department Officer observed a large piece of asphalt lying on the eastbound portion of the roadway. The asphalt came from the road surface creating a pothole. The street department disposed of the asphalt and filled the pothole. Officer then returned to patrol.

12/30/2017	9:14 AM	Theft - Misdemeanor	Cottonwood Ct.	On the stated date and time, Complainant met with Officer at the Police Department to report a theft that occurred at the listed location. Subject advised that a carton of Marlboro Cigarettes, a Dewalt 18V drill, a bag of loose change ($30.00-$40.00), a maroon hooded sweatshirt and a Garmin GPS were stolen from his vehicle a black Ford F150 that was parked in the driveway of the listed location. Officer advised subject that the Police department would increase patrol in the area. Subject was advised to contact the Police department if he sees anything or anyone out of the ordinary. Officer then returned to patrol.
12/31/2017	8:05 PM	Suspicious Circumstances	Carriage Dr.	On the stated date and time Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious circumstance. Upon arrival, Officer met with the homeowner who advised she heard a loud noise that sounded like an object hitting the back of her house. Officers found nothing out of the ordinary. Homeowner was advised if she heard any additional noise to call the Police department and we would respond. Officer then returned to patrol.
