Upon arrival there was a large tree limb that had fallen and caused minor damage to a vehicle as well as blocking the alley way. Officer then contacted the street department who blocked off the roadway until the debris is removed.

10/4/2016	5:24 PM	Failure to Pay	West Main St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a failure to pay. Upon arrival, Officer met with business owner. She advised that a white Buick SUV and a female exited the vehicle and pumped gas. The female and vehicle left a few minutes later with no payment records and no transaction. After investigation, Officer made contact with the driver and let her know her credit card payment for her fuel was not processed and she needed to go speak with business owner about it. 10/4/2016	9:29 PM	Well-being Check	West South St.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a well being check. Officer received a call at the police department, that there may have been a domestic violence incident between a juvenile and his mother earlier in the day. Upon arrival Officers spoke with the mother who advised they had gotten into an altercation the night before. Officers then advised the juvenile that he needed to obey his mother and not violate his probation.
10/5/2016	5:07 PM	Assist Other Agency	SR 161 W	Officer was dispatched to the listed area in reference to a driving complaint. Upon arrival, Officer located a blue Volvo stopped near the construction barricade with its emergency flashers on. Officer was able to get the vehicle to stop and made contact with the driver. Officer requested Union County Sheriff's Office have a unit meet due to the circumstances surrounding the incident. A short time later, the Deputy arrived on the scene and the Officer's presence was no longer needed.
10/5/2016	6:55 PM	Theft - Misdemeanor	North Ave.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival Officer made contact with the caller. She stated that sometime earlier in the day someone had taken two of her grills from behind the dumpsters at the listed location. An individual stated that he witnessed an unknown male subject in a red truck take the grills earlier in the day through his window. After speaking with the caller further Officer documented the incident and returned to patrol.	Darby Apartments
10/5/2016	9:48 PM	Miscellaneous - Unclassified	West First Ave.	Officers responded to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person complaint. Upon arrival Officers made contact with the caller. She stated that she had granted the subject permission to stay at the listed location because he had been kicked out of his residence. She stated that she later learned that he had been banned from the property adjacent to the listed location and was concerned with him staying at the church. Officer then made contact with the caller and the subject inside the listed location. The caller stated that she had found another location for the subject to stay at for the week. 10/6/2016	3:25 PM	Well-being Check	Converse Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a well-being check. Dispatch advised that they received a call from the juvenile court. The court stated that a juvenile has been staying at the residence with his middle-school age sister, while their mother is incarcerated. Upon arrival, Officer met with the juvenile’s grandmother. She advised that the juvenile was not home from school at this time. She stated that she has been staying at the residence with the children and at no time have they been left unattended.
10/6/2016	11:30 PM	Warrant - Felony	West Main St.	Officers observed Eli Dean walking in front of the listed location. Officers made contact with Eli having prior knowledge of an entered felony warrant out of the Union County Sheriff’s Office for failure to report to Tri-County Jail out of a Child Support case. 10/6/2016	7:13 PM	Recovered/Found Property	North Ave.	Officers responded to the listed location in reference to a recovered bicycle. Upon arrival Officers made contact with the caller. She stated that the bicycle had been abandoned behind the listed locations dumpster. She stated that it did not belong to any of the residents at the listed location.	Darby Apartments
10/6/2016	4:05 PM	Theft - Misdemeanor	Willowbend Cir.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a theft of election signs. Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller. She advised that two Hispanic males stole a "Trump" campaign sign. Officer patrolled the area, but was unable to locate a vehicle matching that description. Officer also checked local video surveillance, but was unable to obtain any information.

10/7/2016	7:16 PM	Civil Dispute/Standby	Converse Ave.	Officers responded to the listed location in reference to a civil standby. Upon arrival Officers made contact with the caller. He stated that he wanted to get his son, from the son's mother who was currently incarcerated. Officers were unable to make contact with anyone at the listed location. A short time later the caller made contact with the Officer via public service. He stated that he located his son and has custody of him.
10/7/2016	11:00 AM	Suspicious Person	South Jefferson Ave.	Officers responded to the listed location in reference to a suspicious person complaint. Upon arrival Officer spoke with the caller, who stated the individual asked for a water cup and instead of filling it with water he did with pop. Officers spoke with the individual and asked him to leave the property, he complied with no issues.	McDonald's
10/7/2016	2:35 PM	Vandalism	Perry Pk.	Officers were dispatched to the above address pertaining criminal damaging of a mailbox. Officer made contact with the caller and met with one of the residents of the complex to make them aware of what transpired. Officer made contact with the person whose mailbox was most damaged and he did not have any idea of who may have damaged his mailbox.
10/7/2016	4:41 PM	Juvenile	North Ave.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a juvenile complaint. Upon arrival Officer made contact with complainant. He stated that he was walking home from school when an individual confronted him and attempted to start a fight. Officer made contact with the individual and his mother at their residence. Officer advised the individual that he is not to have further contact with the complainant. He stated that he would not.
10/7/2016	8:24 PM	Non-Injury Crash	Gay St.	Officers responded to the listed area in reference to a non injury hit-skip crash. The caller stated that a semi struck a stop sign. Upon arrival Officers made contact with the driver. She stated that she did strike the stop sign while making a turn in her tractor trailer. Karethae Ross was subsequently issued a citation for Reasonable Control.
10/7/2016	10:15 PM	Assist Other Agency	Smith-Calhoun Rd.	Officers were dispatched to the listed location to assist Madison County Sheriff's Office with a possible suicidal subject. Upon arrival, Officers established a perimeter on the residence and stood by until Deputies arrived. Officers learned that the subject had jumped out of his bedroom window, prior to arrival. Officers attempted to assist Deputies in locating the subject, but needed to leave due to a priority call in Plain City.
10/7/2016	10:35 PM	Other Dispute	South Chillicothe St.	Officers were dispatched to the listed intersection in reference to a fight. Upon arrival, Officers met with residents and two passersby. Officers learned that the male was walking his dog, when she jumped up and scratched his lip. He smacked her on the nose to discipline her. After further investigation, Officers advised the passerby, that witnessed the discipline, she shouldn’t take matters in her own hands and to contact the police department next time this happens. She was also given a warning for Disorderly Conduct based on her actions during the altercation.

10/8/2016	11:34 PM	Assist Other Agency	Converse Rd.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location to assist Medic 210 on an unknown medical alarm. Dispatch advised that there was a pendant activated alarm and the alarm company was unable to reach anyone at the residence. Upon arrival, with Medic 210 and a respondent, learned that the resident activated it in their sleep. Officer determined everything to be fine.
10/8/2016	5:13 PM	911 Unknown	East Main St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 unknown. Dispatch advised they received a call from a 911 only phone. Upon arrival Officer spoke with several people at the location, and searched the building and the surrounding area. Officer found nothing out of the ordinary.	Plain City Presbyterian Church
10/8/2016	1:40 PM	Assist Other Agency	US Rt. 42 S	Officer responded to the listed area at the request of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a non injury hit skip crash. Prior to arrival Union County Sheriff’s Deputy had located the vehicle and initiated traffic stop. Due to assistance no longer being required Officer returned to patrol.
10/8/2016	7:21 AM	Trespasser	North Chillicothe St.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival Officer made contact with the caller. She stated that a tan van had been parked by the north playground all night with a subject sleeping inside. Officer made contact with the female and advised her of the complaint and the parks hours. She stated that she was not aware she needed to pay for a camp site if she was not using them. She apologized and stated that she was currently homeless. Officer referred her to several organizations where she could receive assistance. Once she left the park Officer returned to patrol.	Pastime Park
10/8/2016	2:40 AM	Suspicious Person/Vehicle	North Chillicothe St.	Officer was on patrol and observed a suspicious black Subaru parked near the horse barn at the listed location. Officer made contact with Justin and Rachel Davis, who advised they are homeless and were sleeping in their car. Officer advised them the park was closed and they had to pay to stay at a camp site or leave the park. After advising Rachel and Justin of other possible places to sleep, they left the park. 10/8/2016	1:55 AM	Curfew	West Main St.	Officer observed a red Hyundai Santa Fe illegally pass another vehicle. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle. The juvenile was charged with Minor's Curfew. Chandler King was issued a citation and charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile.

10/9/2016	6:38 PM	Traffic Stop	Lantern Ln.	Officer conducted a routine registration check on a Black Honda Civic. Officer learned that the registered owner was under suspension. Officer initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver/owner, Kyle Glennan. He was subsequently issued a citation for No Ohio License and Administrative License Suspension.

Officer made contact with prior knowledge that she had an entered warrant for her arrest our of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. She stated that she was unable to make contact with him and that he was supposed to be home two hours prior. Upon arrival Officer learned that the juvenile had already left the residence. After confirming the juvenile had since contacted his mother, Officer returned to patrol.

He advised that sometime during the night someone had egged his house. He stated that he wished to document the incident in case there were other victims. After speaking with the victim Officer returned to patrol.

Dispatch advised that they could hear a small child that appeared to be playing with the phone. Upon arrival Officer made contact with the owner of the phone. She advised that she was babysitting her nephew and found him playing with the phone. Officer determined everything was okay.

Dispatch advised that the phone was a 911 only phone and could not be called back. Officer patrolled the area and made contact with several residents, but no one knew who had called or why. 9/26/2016	8:03 AM	Non-Injury Hitskip	North Chillicothe St.	Officer was dispatched to listed location on the report of a non-injury hit-skip crash. Upon arrival, Officer met with the driver of a black Chevy Silverado. He advised that a pickup truck pulling a grain head for a combine stopped at the stop sign, the truck backed up and struck his truck causing damage to the hood. He described the truck as a red, possibly Ford pulling a large John Deere grain head. Officer completed a crash report that he could use to report to his insurance company.
9/27/2016	9:15 AM	Suspicious Person/Vehicle	North Chillicothe St.	Officer met with the Parks and Recreation Director. She advised that there had been a tent setup near the horse barn for a couple of days but she had not received a camping registration or fees. Officer then met with the individuals at the tent. They advised that since they were no longer staying with one of the individual 's mother they began camping at the park with the assistance of DNA. Officer called DNA and told her that no registration or fees had been received. She advised that she would take care of it today and apologized for the inconvenience.	Pastime Park

She advised that she located the phone next to the listed location. The owner's father came to the police department and picked it up. He entered the proper unlock code to verify ownership. Upon arrival Officer made contact with the individual at the listed location. He stated that someone had taken items that were stored back in his residence. He had not seen the items since he last used them approximately 2 ½ years earlier and was unsure who could have taken the items. He thanked the Officer for his time.

He stated that he had been in a verbal dispute with his father. Both parties agreed to remain calm and separate for the rest of the night.

She advised that she was involved in an accident at the listed location yesterday and she wanted to document it for insurance purposes. She advised that she was backing her Chrysler Town and Country out of a parking spot and struck a red GMC pickup on the rear driver's side while it was parked. Dispatch advised that a witness followed the suspect to where the suspect entered a barn at the rear of the property. Officers went to the location and made contact with the suspect, Anthony M. Hopkins. He eventually admitted to stealing Dutch Master Cigarillos. Officer placed Anthony M. 10/1/2016	3:03 AM	Drugs - Other	South Jefferson Ave.	Officer observed two vehicles parked on the lot of the listed location.  Upon closer inspection, Officer observed two subjects sleeping in the grey Toyota. Officer made contact with the juveniles. After investigation both juveniles were detained and placed in the rear of Officers' vehicles until their parents, who arrived a short time later to take their children home. One juvenile was subsequently charged with Minor's Curfew, Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Drugs. The second juvenile will subsequently be charged with Curfew and Possession of Drugs.	McDonald's

Upon arrival Officer spoke with the caller. He advised he was traveling northbound on the listed avenue when he engaged his brakes, they did not activate properly causing him to veer into the southbound lane and strike the curb in front of the listed location. Upon checking the vehicle, observed it to be occupied. Upon speaking with the individual, the male advised that he and his father had argued earlier and he was hanging out up town waiting on his father to go to work to avoid any further arguing tonight. Officer advised it was not a good idea to hang out on the lot of a closed business. The male apologized and advised he was just getting ready to head home now. 9/19/2016	2:49 PM	Miscellaneous - Unclassified	West Main St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to an IRS scam. Upon arrival Officer met with the caller. She advised that she had been on the phone with a man who claimed his name was Bill O'Connor who worked for the IRS. He directed her to withdrawal $500 from the bank and then go to Target and purchase a gift card. She disconnected the call and contacted the Police at this time. Officer advised that this was a common scam and that we had received numerous calls like this recently. She did not suffer any monetary loss.
9/19/2016	12:53 PM	Civil Dispute/Standby	Washington Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a civil standby. The female requested a civil standby while she picked up property at this address. Upon arrival Officer stood by while the individuals loaded the female's property into their vehicle. At the resident's request Officer advised the female not to return to the property or possibly face trespassing charges.

The caller provided her address and stated that she believed someone had broken in and was still inside the residence. With backup, Officers held a perimeter on the residence until Union County Sheriff's Deputies arrived on the scene. They checked the interior of the residence and found that it had been disturbed, but no one was inside. Officers stayed until presence was no longer needed.
9/20/2016	5:25 PM	Message Delivery	Center St.	Officer was requested by the Zoning Officer to deliver a letter to the property owner in reference to a zoning violation. Officer made contact and the property owner who signed a receipt for the letter.
9/20/2016	11:39 PM	Telecom Harassment	Smucker Ln.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location for a telecommunication harassment. Upon arrival Officer made contact with the caller who stated that her niece would not stop calling her phone with a blocked number. The caller requested contact be made with the niece and advise her that she still doesn't want to speak with her. Officer made contact via public service with the niece. She advised that she hasn't attempted to contact the caller since last month. Officer advised her of the consequences she could face if she is calling.
9/21/2016	3:47 PM	Miscellaneous - Unclassified	North Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a nuisance burn. The complainant, stated that her neighbor always has outside fires and she was tired of the smoke. Officer made contact with the neighbor, via public service and advised him of the complaint. He stated that he hasn't had a fire in a while and wasn't sure why she was saying this. Officer explained the ordinance to for future reference and he advised that he understood. He was also referred to our Codified Ordinances if he had any further questions.

Dispatch stated they received a 911 call mapping in the area of one of the base ball fields. They were sent to voicemail on call back. Upon arrival Officer checked the area but was unable to locate anything out of the ordinary. Officer attempted to make contact with the caller via public service but was also sent to voicemail. The caller stated that she was unable to locate her 11 year old son. Upon arrival Officer checked the park but could not locate the child. Officer was then met by the caller who had located her son. 9/22/2016	7:18 PM	Parking Complaint	Maple St.	While on routine patrol, Officer observed a red Chevrolet Blazer parked on the sidewalk in front of the listed location. The entire vehicle was facing northbound on the sidewalk, thus causing the sidewalk to be unusable. Officer made contact with vehicle owner and advised her of the incident. She apologized and the vehicle was moved.

He advised that he parked his bike at the rear of the listed location. When he returned it was gone. 9/22/2016	9:03 PM	Traffic Stop	Village Blvd.	Officer observed a male individual driving a Chevrolet Colorado as he was exiting the listed location. Officer conducted a routine registration check of his vehicle and learned that his registration had expired. Officer initiated a traffic stop and advised him why his vehicle stopped. The caller advised that a man in white van had placed a white plastic bag on her neighbors porch. Upon arrival Officer found the bag on the porch and upon looking in it, discovered that it contained The Yellow Pages.
9/23/2016	12:36 AM	Assist Other Agency	Converse Rd.	Officer responded to the listed area at the request of the Union County Sheriff’s Office in reference to an injury crash. Upon arrival with station 210 Officer found one male subject who was pronounced deceased on the scene. Officer then stood by until the arrival of Union County Sheriff's Sergeant and assistance was no longer needed.

Upon arrival Officer spoke with the caller who stated that she witnessed a male ride a bike he had taken from her property several months back. The caller advised she did not want to press charges that she just wanted her bike back, the male gave her the bike with no issues.
9/23/2016	11:06 PM	Suspicious Person/Vehicle	South Chillicothe St.	Officer observed a dark colored pickup pull onto the parking lot and turn its lights off. Officer made contact with the driver. He stated that he just left a friend residence and wanted a cigarette, because he hadn't had one in a while. He also doesn't like to smoke while driving. Officer determined everything to be fine. 9/23/2016	11:12 PM	Juvenile	North Ave.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a juvenile complaint. The complainant stated that he saw young juveniles running around the listed location and thought that their parents were not home. Upon arrival, with backup, Officers met with the juveniles' mother and learned that her daughters were running back and forth between location the mother and juveniles were moving from and location moving to. The mother apologized and Officers determined everything to be fine.
9/24/2016	4:23 PM	Traffic Stop	West Main St.	Officer conducted a routine registration check on a Black Mazda 3, westbound on the listed street. Officer learned that the registered owner was under suspension and initiated a traffic stop. Officer made contact with the driver/owner, James Parson, and advised him why his vehicle was stopped. James Parson was issued a citation for No Ohio License and a Non Compliance Suspension.	Marathon/Lovejoy Food Mart
9/24/2016	6:00 PM	Recovered/Found Property	East Main St.	Officer was on foot patrol when approached by an individual who stated he had found a wallet. Officer contacted Champaign County dispatch to send a unit to the property owner's residence to try and make contact they advised he was not home.
9/25/2016	11:49 PM	911 Follow-up	Murlay Dr.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a 911 follow up. Upon arrival with backup Officers made contact with the caller. She apologized for the error and advised she had accidently dialed while attempting to power down her Apple watch for the night. Officers determined everything to be okay.
9/25/2016	11:26 AM	Neighbor Dispute	North Ave.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a neighbor dispute. Upon arrival Officer made contact with the caller. She stated that her neighbor was power washing her residence without her permission and would like her to leave. Officer then made contact with the suspect. She stated that she had received permission from the landlord to power wash the residence but that she would stop and leave the property.
9/25/2016	7:09 PM	Loud Noise/Disturbance	Foster St.	Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a loud noise complaint. Upon arrival Officer met with a female individual who was outside working on her car with loud music playing. Officer asked the music be turned down and she went ahead and shut the music off for the night.
