28-Nov-20	11:53:00 PM	Traffic Stop	East Main St.	Officer was on patrol when Officer conducted a routine registration check on a blue 2009 Acura SUV.   Officer learned the registration had been expired since 11-5-2018.  Officer then made contact with the driver, Macky Tourkara. Macky was advised of the violations and issued a citation for No Valid OL and Operating a Motor Vehicle with Registration of Previous Owner. The vehicle was towed to the PCPD Impound Lot. Macky was provided transport to the PCPD lobby to await a ride. Officer then returned to patrol.		Approved

Complainant advised that he had gone to the FedEx store and picked up his package and the original contents were intact.  Officer cautioned complainant about this type of scam and to be wary of unsolicited phone calls asking for money. The vehicle registration returned to Terry Stephens, a suspended driver.  Terry then fled the stop in his vehicle traveling at unsafe speeds and committing several traffic violations. Terry was later taken to the Tri-County Regional Jail and booked in for Failure to Comply, Resisting Arrest, and OVI Suspension.
