Officer responded to area reference to someone shooting a gun
toward a garage. The anonymous complainant advised that this had occurred 20
minutes prior and also could not provide any physical description of the
subject. Officer was in the area at the time of call and did not locate
anyone outside that could have been shooting a gun toward a garage. Officer
also examined all closed garage doors and did not notice any damage
consistent with being shot by a gun.

Officer responded to the location in reference to a domestic
dispute. Upon arrival, it was determined to be an issue regarding custody of
a child. All parties were advised of the proper steps in dealing with the
issue and contacting their attorney's.

Officer responded to location in reference to a found purse that
was believed to be stolen. No identification was located in the purse or
anything of value. Complainant believed that his live in girlfriend knew who
owned the purse and would check with her.

Officer responded to location in reference to a suspicious
circumstance. Complainant advised that they received a phone call from a
restricted number. The caller from the restricted number stated that they
were outside the residence watching the complainant. The complainant advised
that they did not know who made the call, but later admitted that they had
lied and that it was a friend that made the prank call. The complainant
received a warning for obstruction.

Officer responded to the area of North Avenue and East First
Avenue in reference to a suspicious person. Caller advised
two subjects wearing hoodies on bikes were hanging out near cars parked on
the street. When the caller came outside, the two subjects rode off on their
bikes, northbound on North Avenue. Officer searched the area, but could not
locate anyone matching that description. I then returned to patrol.

Officer responded to location in reference to a report of a
burglary. Officer met with the caller who stated that he heard some noise in
his kitchen that he originally thought was his cats. When he checked his
apartment, he noticed that one of the bedroom doors was open that is usually
closed. Caller also noticed that the piece of wood that holds his kitchen
window shut was displaced. He wasn’t sure if anyone actually made entry to
the apartment, just found those two things suspicious. Officer searched the apartment
and didn’t find anything else out of the ordinary.

Officers responded to location on the report of a domestic
disturbance. Upon arrival, officers met with the female caller, who advised
that she got into an argument with her live-in boyfriend because he had his
ex-girlfriend over to the house. Caller said the argument started when the
boyfriend took a phone from the ex-girlfriend and the caller tried to get it
back from him to give to her. Caller advised that the boyfriend keeps going
back and forth between her and the ex-girlfriend. The boyfriend and ex-girlfriend
arrived back at the house a few moments later and the ex-girlfriend said she
wanted nothing to do with the ex-boyfriend anymore. She left at that time.
Caller stayed on the scene and advised she was going to gather her things and
call her parents to come and get her. Ex-boyfriend got into his vehicle and
was leaving as officers left the scene. Note: All parties were advised to
avoid each other and not to be together at the same time to avoid conflict.

Officer received a complaint from caller who stated that he had
just received a call from a man claiming to be with the IRS. The man advised
that the caller owed thousands of dollars in back taxes and that the IRS was
going to file a lawsuit against him. They told him to avoid the lawsuit to
call (252) 368 4677. Caller believed that this was a scam and wasn't going to
call but wanted the Police Department to be aware.
Upon searching the number on the internet, officer discovered several links stating that it was indeed a scam involving threats from the IRS. |

Officer responded to the intersection of South Chillicothe
Street at West Avenue in reference to a non-injury crash. Upon arrival,
officer met with all parties involved and learned, Jerry Wholaver was
southbound on South Chillicothe Street driving a white International tow
truck. Ashley Thomas was behind him in a silver Honda Pilot. In the area of
West Avenue, Jerry stopped to speak to a pedestrian that he had been looking
for. At this time Jerry backed up striking the front end of Ashley's vehicle
causing damage. Jerry Wholaver was issued a citation for Starting and Backing
Vehicles.

Officer received a complaint of a private property hit skip
crash. Officer made contact with the caller who stated that at approximately
1800 Hrs a white Dodge Dakota backed into another vehicle and left the scene.
An anonymous male witness provided the caller with the vehicles information
and license plate. Officer was unable to locate a vehicle fitting the
description using the license plate number provided. The victim had left the
scene prior to officer's arrival, but officer made contact with the victim
via public service. Victim stated that she observed minor damage to the front
of her silver Chevy Cruise. She agreed to forward her insurance information
as well as photos of the vehicle.

Officer received a complaint from a parent at the Plain City
Elementary School regarding a vehicle parked in a handicap parking spot. The
vehicle was a gray Honda Odyssey. Officer made contact with the female driver
of the vehicle and pointed out that she was parked in a handicap spot and she
did not have a handicap placard. The driver advised that her leg was injured
and she was wearing a brace on it. Officer explained that the spots are
designated only for vehicles bearing a disabled plate or having a handicap
placard hanging from the rearview mirror. Officer also explained that she
could obtain a temporary placard for a temporary disability. Driver advised
she would not park in the handicap spots again.

Officer responded to location in reference to a theft in
progress complaint. The complainant called and advised that a white female,
with blonde hair and a pink jacket, just walked out of the store without
paying for her groceries. The female got into the passenger side of a maroon
Chevrolet pickup (bearing OH Reg. DTA2603) that left the scene towards US RT
42. The truck was later located and the passenger, Shellie Blumenschein,
admitted to the theft. She was later charged with theft and transported to the
Tri-County Jail.

reference to a check that had been found and turned in by a passerby. Officer
attempted to locate the owner of the check.

complaint. Several employees at the listed location were unable to move their
vehicles do to a red Chevy blocking their exit. Officer made contact with the
owner at a nearby business and had him move the vehicle.

Officer responded to a civil dispute concerning a custody issue.

Officer responded to the location in reference to a dog bite.
Upon arrival, officer made contact with the victim. Victim stated that while
walking into the business, several dogs from the residence across the street
ran up to him. He stated that a midsized brown and white dog bit his left
pant leg. He received no injury, but this caused a small rip in his pants.
The female owner then yelled to him stating "just kick them away." Officer
then spoke with the dog’s owner and advised them of the complaint. They stated
that they were watching their dogs and they did not bite the victim. Officer
asked if they had gone to him. The dog owner stated that the dogs ran up to
him just outside the listed location, but that they were friendly and would
not bite. A copy of the report was forwarded to the Madison County Dog Warden
and the Madison County Health Department along with Animal Quarantine Form.

Officer was requested by the Madison County Sheriff's Office to
attempt to find Bryan Clark at the listed location. Bryan had just been
involved in a domestic violence incident at 8405 Jericho Way. Officer located
Bryan driving a silver Mazda and made traffic stop with him. Bryan was then
placed into custody without incident for the domestic violence charge. While
conducting a search incident to arrest, officer located a small clear plastic
bag containing a small amount of marijuana. Per the request of the Madison
County Sheriff's Office, officer transported Bryan to the Tri- County
Regional Jail for the domestic violence charge. Bryan was also issued a
summons for possession of marijuana.

Officers responded to location in reference to a domestic
dispute. Officers made contact with parties involved who were yelling at each
other. Officers were able to separate them, husband and wife and learned that
the argument began about a missing coffee mug. The husband also advised that
his wife had taken his passport and wouldn't give it back. When asked about
the passport, the wife advised that she was allowed to take it and gave it to
a friend for safe keeping. She later returned the passport and both parties
were advised that their actions would not be tolerated and they needed to
come up with a better way of handling arguments and their relationship
issues. They were also warned for Disorderly Conduct if their actions
continued.

suicide. Upon arrival, officers determined that the subject was okay and had
