1/17/2020 7:49 AM Driving Complaint SR 161 W  On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the area west of Plain City Cooperation limit in reference to a driving complaint coming towards Plain City. Dispatch advised that UCSO unit was out of the area. Upon arrival to the area, Officer located the vehicle coming into Plain City. Officer stopped the vehicle on East Main Street and made contact with the driver.  Upon speaking with the driver, Officer observed no signs of impairment.  Driver advised Officer that she was lost and was trying to use her GPS to find her way. Officer advised driver to ensure she pays attention while driving and to pull over in the future to avoid traffic issues. Driver advised she understood and apologized for the incident. Officer then returned to patrol.   Approved
1/18/2020 9:20 PM Marijuana West Bigelow Ave. On the stated date and time, Officer observed a Silver Honda Civic traveling eastbound on West Main St near Gay St. The vehicle failed to activate its turn signal within 100 feet when turning southbound onto Gay St. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the vehicle driver.  Officer detected a strong odor of raw marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Officer spoke with driver who admitted to having marijuana inside the vehicle. Driver advised he did have a medical card for the marijuana. During a probable cause search Officer located the two containers of marijuana that driver advised Officer of.  The containers of marijuana were seized as evidence. Driver was given a verbal warning for the moving violation. Officer then returned to patrol.   Pending
1/18/2020 8:12 PM Assist Other Agency US 42 N On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location at the request of the Union County Sheriff's Office to assist with a domestic dispute. Once assistance was no longer needed, Officer returned to patrol.   Pending
1/18/2020 2:25 PM Unruly West South St. On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to an Unruly Juvenile complaint.  Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the mother who advised during a dispute, juvenile shouted at her and flipped the coffee table over. Officer then made contact with juvenile who stated he was not attempting to hurt his mother when he flipped the table; he was only doing so out of anger. Mother stated to Officer that she did not believe that juvenile was trying to hurt her when the table was flipped. Juvenile's grandfather arrived on scene.  Officer then released custody of juvenile to grandfather.  Officer then returned to patrol. Refer to case for further.   Pending
1/18/2020 1:31 PM Parking Complaint South Chillicothe St. On the listed date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a parking complaint. The caller advised dispatch that a vehicle was parked on the alley next his house and it causes vehicle to drive through his yard to get around it. Upon arrival, Officer met with the caller who advised this happens a lot and he's tired of people driving through his yard to get around the vehicle. Officer then met with subjects who were unloading the vehicle.  Officer advised them of the complaint. Officer advised male subject not to block the alleyway but only for a few minutes while he unloaded tools.  Officer advised female subject to move the vehicle completely into the driveway once done unloading. Officer then returned to patrol.   Pending
1/18/2020 11:59 AM 911 Follow-up Smucker Ln. On the listed date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a 911 follow-up. Dispatch advised they spoke with the caller who advised it was accidental. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with the caller who advised she had miss dialed and didn't mean to call 911.  Caller apologized for the incident and thanked Officer for checking on her. Upon determining everything to be okay, Officer returned to patrol.   Approved
1/18/2020 9:46 AM Assist Other Agency Middleburg-Plain City Rd. On the listed date and time, Officer was requested to respond to the area of Middleburg Plain City Road in reference to a single-vehicle rollover crash. Dispatch advised their units were tied up on other calls and that OSP would be responding.  Once assistance was no longer needed, Officer returned to patrol.   Pending
1/18/2020 2:22 AM Assist Other Agency US Rt. 42 S  On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the area of US 42 at the request of the Madison County Sheriff's Office, in reference to a stolen vehicle. Once assistance was no longer needed, Officer returned to patrol.   Approved

1/19/2020 5:15 PM Telecom Harassment Friend St. On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to telecommunication harassment.  Upon arrival, Officer spoke with complainant who stated that he and his ex-girlfriend had recently broken up and she has been harassing him via text message.  Officer made contact with ex-girlfriend, via public service, who stated that she was only attempting to get into contact with complaint as an attempt to get her belongings from him. Complaint stated that he had already returned all belongings to her. Officer advised ex-girlfriend complainant no longer wanted to have communication with her.  Ex-girlfriend stated that she would not contact complainant anymore.  Officer then returned to patrol.   On January 20, 2020, Officer was advised by complainant that he is still receiving phone calls and text messages from several unknown numbers that he believes is his ex-girlfriend.  Ex-girlfriend contacted Officer later on the same evening and advised that complainant had been in contact with her from another number.  Officer then made contact with complainant and asked if he had initiated contact with girlfriend.  Officer advised complainant, the dispute between the two in regards to their relationship and property is a civil matter. 1/19/2020 1:26 PM Suspicious Circumstances Friend St. On the stated date and time, Officer was contacted by complainant, via public service, due to concern for her brother who had not been seen in several days.  Complainant advised her brother had not been to work and his roommate and friends had not seen or heard from him.  Complainant also advised he was not answering his phone. Complainant provided Officer with the name of two friends and requested that Officer contact them to see if they knew anything about her brother's whereabouts.  After speaking with both subjects, Officer made contact with complainant who advised she that she had just gotten off the phone with the Franklin County Coroner's Office where she learned that her brother was deceased.  Officer relayed information from his investigation to the Columbus Police Department who is investigating the death. 1/20/2020 11:58 PM Loud Noise/Disturbance North Ave. On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a noise complaint. The caller stated loud music was coming from the listed location.  Upon arrival, Officer could hear music coming from inside the listed location. Officer made contact with resident.  After informing resident of the complaint, the resident agreed to turn down the music. Officer then returned to patrol.   Pending
1/20/2020 5:49 PM Juvenile Harrington Dr. On this stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location in response to a juvenile complaint.  Upon arrival, Officer spoke with complainant who stated that she received a text message from the mother of the juvenile regarding a Facebook posting her son had made.  Officer then made contact with juvenile who stated the posting was fake and he and his friend only did it as an attempt to make some money.  Due to juvenile being on probation, juvenile's probation officer was contacted.  Juvenile's probation officer stated that he would make contact with juvenile on 1/21/20 in reference to violating his probation. Officer then returned to patrol.   Pending
1/20/2020 11:11 AM Traffic Stop South Chillicothe St. On the stated date and time, Officer received a complaint about a vehicle driving erratically on Plain City Georgesville Road. Officer located the vehicle in the Security National Bank drive-thru.  The vehicle, a Chevy Tahoe, had driven up on the curb as it went through the drive-thru. Due to the holiday, the bank was closed.  The driver proceeded out of the parking lot and went westbound onto West Main Street.  Driver pulled into Mike's Pit Stop where Officer initiated a traffic stop. The registration on the vehicle came back expired, but it had a current sticker on it. Registration check also showed driver was suspended. Officer made contact with the driver, David Dever who acknowledged his license was suspended. Mr. Dever did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, but could not offer a reason for his driving. Mr. Dever was issued a citation for Non-Compliance, No Driver's License, Expired Tags and Failure to Register. His vehicle was impounded and towed to the Plain City Police Impound lot.  Further investigation pending   Pending

1/15/2020 9:17 PM 911 Follow-up South Chillicothe St. On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the listed location on a 911-follow up. Dispatch advised they spoke with the caller who advised it was an accidental dial. Upon arrival, Officer spoke with caller who confirmed the dial was accidental and that she did not need any assistance. After deeming everything fine, Officer returned to patrol.   Approved
1/15/2020 8:23 PM Traffic Stop US Rt. 42 N  On the stated date and time, Officer observed a silver Honda Sedan traveling southbound on US 42 near North Chillicothe St. The vehicle registration was not properly affixed to the rear of the vehicle making it unreadable and it did not have a working license plate light. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and made contact with the vehicle driver and her passenger.  Driver was given a warning for the equipment violations. Officers then returned to patrol.   Returned
1/15/2020 12:48 AM Suspicious Person/Vehicle North Chillicothe St. On the stated date and time, Officer was on patrol when Officer observed a suspicious 2014 white Ford at the listed location. Upon making contact with the driver, Officer learned driver was playing a Pokémon game on his phone. Officer advised  the park was closed.  After driver left the area, Officer returned to patrol. 1/16/2020 5:56 PM Assist Other Agency South Jefferson Ave. On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched to the following area to assist OSP with a driving complaint.  Once assistance was no longer needed, Officer returned to patrol.   Pending
1/16/2020 4:46 PM Animal Complaint - Other Gray St. On the stated date and time, Officer responded to the listed location reference to two stray dogs.  Upon arrival, Officer did not locate the stray dogs.  While on station, Officer spotted the two dogs running behind the police department.  Officer secured the two dogs in the kennel located at the department.  Officer made contact with the owner of the dogs.  A short time later, dog owner arrived at police department and took possession of the dogs.  Owner was given a warning for animals running at large. 1/16/2020 12:45 AM Loud Noise/Disturbance Jackson St. On the stated date and time, Officer was dispatched in the area of Jackson St near the PCPD impound lot in reference to a loud noise complaint. The anonymous caller advised that they believed people were riding dirt bikes on the roadway making excessive noise. Upon arrival, Officer observed a red Honda CRF250 driving on Jackson St near the impound lot. Officer made contact with the subject and his friend.  Subject advised Officer he recently installed a new headlight and wanted to make sure it worked.  Officer advised subject of the noise ordinance and to be more cognizant of his neighbors when he rides the bike.     Pending
