2/1/2016	9:11 AM	Theft - Misdemeanor	West Main St.	Officer responded to Mike's Pit Stop in reference to a theft. Employee showed officer a video of a male wearing a hoodie come into the business on January 31st at about 9:00 PM and steal the Shriner's Donation Jug off of the counter by the register. 2/1/2016	3:56 PM	Driving Complaint	Coachman Dr.	Officer responded Surrey Ct. in reference to a driving complaint. The caller advised that a red Honda had driven down Carriage Drive at a very high rate of speed. This occurred at the time school busses were in the area and children were walking. Officer located the vehicle and made contact with the driver. Officer advised the driver of the possible consequences if his driving habits continued.

2/2/2016	11:15 AM	Warrant - Misdemeanor	Noteman Rd.	Officer made contact with Austin Ball out of a traffic stop and placed him under arrest for a warrant. Austin was transported to the Tri-County Jail.

2/2/2016	4:59 PM	Driving Complaint	South Chillicothe St.	Officer responded to the area of South Chillicothe Street in reference to a driving complaint. The caller advised that maroon Lincoln had driven erratically and tail gated them northbound on South Chillicothe Street. Officer located the vehicle facing southbound on South Chillicothe Street and made contact with the driver. Driver indicated that he had been in a hurry to get to the bank before they closed to make a deposit. Driver was warned about his aggressive driving and the possible consequences.

2/3/2016	6:48 AM	Disabled Vehicle	John St.	Officer responded to John Street and East Main Street on the report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the roadway with a male sitting in the driver's seat. Upon arrival, officer observed a black Mini Cooper sitting in the road with all of the lights off. Officer made contact with the driver, who advised that his car died, but that he had already contacted a tow company. The tow company arrived a few minutes later.

2/3/2016	6:50 PM	Animal Complaint - Other	Converse Rd.	Motorist turned in two canines that she found in the street. The canines were later retrieved by their owner.
2/3/2016	9:36 PM	Assist Other Agency	US Rt. 42 S	Officer responded to listed location at the request of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a suspicious vehicle complaint. The caller stated an unknown vehicle pulled behind the business then shut all of its lights off. Upon arrival, officer made contact with vehicle owner who stated that he was loading property into his vehicle to be taken to another facility. Officer determined everything to be okay. 2/3/2016	11:53 PM	Fight	West Main St.	Officers were dispatched to the Plain City Pub in reference to a fight between two or three people. Upon further investigation, Bill Millington was arrested for Persistent Disorderly Conduct and two counts of assault. He was later transported to Tri-County Jail. Note: Officer met with witnesses and victims and collected photographs and statements. He also took possession of Bill's reading glasses that were left on the bar. 2/4/16 0507 hours I met with Rose Millington at Mike's Pit Stop and returned Bill's reading glasses to her.	Plain City Pub

2/4/2016	3:33 PM	Theft of Services	East First Ave.	Officer was met at the Police Department by complainant who reported that he had recently received his Verizon cellular phone bill. On it he discovered that on an unknown person activated another phone line on his account. The line was active until 01/8/2016 when it was deactivated. The total bill for this line was $31.50. Caller did not authorize anyone to open this line. He advised that he had contacted Verizon and they weren't sure how someone had done this, but they felt it could have been done by an employee. He requested a report to document the incident.
2/4/2016	6:16 PM	Parking Complaint	West Main St.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a parking complaint. The caller advised that a vehicle had been dropped off by a tow truck earlier in the day and was blocking the alleyway. Upon officer' arrival the vehicle had already been moved. 2/4/2016	10:24 PM	Domestic Dispute	West Main St.	Officer responded to the listed location at the request of Medic 261. Upon officer's arrival he learned that several females inside the location were upset and screaming causing the medics to be unable to treat the patient. Upon entering the residence, officer observed several females crying and arguing with each other. Officer then ordered all three females into a separate room so the medics could treat patient for his injuries from a fall.
2/5/2016	9:40 AM	Suspicious Person/Vehicle	Lantern Ln.	Officer responded to location on the report of a suspicious vehicle with a person dressed in all black sitting inside. Upon arrival, officer observed a truck belonging to the Peterman Tree Company sitting near the listed location. Officer observed a crew working at the cemetery near Lantern Lane and South Chillicothe Street removing a tree. Officer determined everything to be okay.

Inside the jackets pockets were a set of keys, a receipt and 3 Home Depot gift cards one of which was valid for $65.00. Officer retrieved the items and logged them into found property.

2/6/2016	6:10 PM	Solicitor	South Chillicothe St.	Officer responded to the area of Central Avenue in reference to a suspicious person. Dispatch advised that a male subject approached a residence on Central Avenue and requested to look at their bills. The homeowner reported that the subject was persistent before leaving on foot.. Officer located the subject and learned that they worked for Energy Source, and did not know they needed a permit. Officer explained the possible consequences of soliciting without a permit and how to obtain a valid permit. Note: Due to another pending call, suspect not cited for this incident.
2/6/2016	8:38 PM	Suspicious Vehicle	Village Blvd.	Officer responded to location in reference to a suspicious vehicle. The caller stated several juveniles have been sitting in a dark colored vehicle for a lengthy period of time. Officer located the vehicle, a red Kia, but did not locate anyone inside.
2/6/2016	9:06 PM	Theft - Misdemeanor	West Bigelow Ave.	Officer responded to location in reference to a theft. Complainant stated that someone stole his clothes, sheets and towels from the dryers inside of the location. Complainant advised that he moved his items from the washer to the dryer sometime around 1645. He then left and went to his residence. When he returned around 1830, all of his property was gone. 2/7/2016	12:13 AM	Assist Other Agency	US Rt. 42 N	Officer assisted the Union County Sheriff's Office with a intoxicated male subject that had exited a vehicle and was walking northbound on US RT 42.
2/7/2016	2:29 AM	Domestic Dispute	North Ave.	Officer responded to location in reference to a domestic dispute. Caller reported that a known acquaintance had showed up at her house drunk and knocked stuff off her microwave breaking several things. Caller advised that things did not get physical and that the friend left upon officer's arrival out a back window. Caller advised that the friend has not lived there for a few months and that he lives up town. Caller did not want to pursue the damage to her property and would call if the friend returns. Officer checked the area in an attempt to locate the subjects without success.

2/7/2016	3:10 AM	Recovered Stolen Vehicle	Perry Pk.	Officer located a stolen vehicle out of Columbus, Ohio and conducted a felony stop with it. Four juveniles were found inside the vehicle. The juvenile driver was charged with receiving stolen property, driving without a license, and curfew. He was later transported to the Central Ohio Youth Center. The remainder of the juveniles were charged with curfew and released to their parents.

2/7/2016	8:04 PM	Suspicious Person	South Chillicothe St.	Officer received an anonymous report of a suspicious male walking southbound on South Chillicothe Street nearing Plain City Elementary School. The caller stated that the male was wearing all black and had a hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over their head. The caller stated every time a car drove by, the male would turn and look the opposite way. Officer searched the area several times and the cross streets nearby and could not locate the male.

1/1/2016	1:04 AM	Non-Injury Hit skip	South Chillicothe St.	Officers were dispatched to the area of South Chillicothe Street and Fairfield Drive in reference to a non-injury hit skip crash. Upon their arrival, they made contact with the caller and learned that the caller's vehicle was struck from behind from another vehicle that had left the scene. After further investigation, officers located the other vehicle and the driver, Jaylynn Cahill of Plain City was cited for Failure to Control and Stopping after Accident.
1/1/2016	10:47 AM	Animal Complaint - Other	Central Ave.	Officer met with caller in reference to his cat being inside a vacant house across from his. Caller advised that the house is being renovated and that the cat must have gone inside when they were last working there. The house was locked and caller advised that he would attempt coax the cat out of an open window or would contact the business renovating the residence.
1/1/2016	2:56 PM	Suspicious Circumstances	Converse Ave.	Officer responded to location in reference to suspicious circumstances. Caller advised she heard what sounded like someone walking on her roof. Upon officer's arrival he observed that there was no one on the roof. Everything was determined to be okay.
1/1/2016	4:50 PM	Theft - Misdemeanor	West Main St.	Officer responded to location in reference to a theft. Caller stated that a male subject entered the listed location and took two cans of alcohol without paying. Subject was identified and charges are pending.
1/1/2016	6:33 PM	Suspicious Person/Vehicle	West Main St.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Caller advised that a vehicle was sitting in the parking lot for approximately 15 minutes. When caller made contact with the driver to see if he needed assistance, the driver stated that he was playing a game on his phone. Caller stated the male subject seemed suspicious. Upon officer's arrival, he checked the area, but was unable to locate the vehicle.

1/2/2016	4:57 PM	Theft/Identity	Lantern Ln.	Officer was dispatched to the location in reference to an identity theft report. Officer met with the caller who stated that she has had eight different lines of credit opened up in her name and has had several unauthorized purchases on some of her credit cards. She stated most of the purchases had come from Lansing, Michigan. Caller was referred to the Ohio Attorney General Office and the FTC to file a complaint and that a police report would be made.
1/2/2016	9:49 PM	Assist Other Agency / Pursuit	West Main St.	Officers assisted OSP Post 49 with a vehicle pursuit through Plain City. The vehicle came to a stop on SR 161 and the east corporation limits. A felony stop was conducted and the driver, Katie Tussing, was taken into custody without further incident.
1/3/2016	2:04 AM	Warrant - Felony	Maple St.	While investigating another incident, officers made contact with John Schrader on the corner of Maple Street and West Bigelow Avenue. Officers learned that John had a felony warrant (confirmed) out of Licking County for non- support. John was subsequently placed under arrest without incident and taken to Tri-County Regional Jail.
1/3/2016	2:05 AM	Disorderly Conduct	Maple St.	Officer was traveling in the area of West Bigelow Avenue and Maple Street when he noticed a large amount of trash in the roadway. After further investigation, officer learned that Brian Smith had thrown a trash can at a passing vehicle. Brian was subsequently cited for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Police Department. While at the Police Department, Brian damaged a desk by kicking it. Therefore, he was also charged for Criminal Mischief.
1/3/2016	10:29 AM	Vandalism	South Chillicothe St.	Officer responded to location in reference to a criminal damaging complaint. Caller advised that sometime between 1800 Hrs the previous day and 0900 Hrs today it appeared someone had shot the front windshield of his Dodge with a pellet gun. Caller could not advise on any suspect and saw nothing out of the ordinary. Caller stated that prior to reporting the incident he spoke with all of his neighbors who also witnessed nothing out of the ordinary. Report was taken.
1/3/2016	2:36 PM	Miscellaneous - Unclassified	Central Ave.	Officer responded to location in reference to a tree limb and met with the caller. Caller advised that a large tree limb had fallen and damaged the roof of his shed. He advised that a piece of the limb about 8 feet long was still in the tree hanging precariously about 30 feet off the ground. He was concerned that the limb may fall and hurt someone or damage a passing car. Caller wondered if the Village Street Department may be able to remove the limb since it is hanging over the road, which they could not. Officer placed cones and a Road Closed sign in the road. Officer also made contact with neighbors and advised them of the limb and the Road Closed signs. The caller later removed the limb.

1/4/2016	8:49 AM	Vandalism	Center St.	Officer met with caller in reference to the windows of his business garage door on the west end of building being shot out with a pellet gun. Caller advised that he believed it happened on Saturday or Sunday. Report was taken.
1/4/2016	9:39 AM	Theft - Felony	Jackson St.	Officer met with caller at the police department in reference to his credit card being used fraudulently. He advised that he had several hundred dollars of unauthorized charges made on his Visa card. Officer was able to determine a suspect and charges are pending.

1/5/2016	12:05 PM	Theft/Identity	North Chillicothe St.	Officer responded to location in reference to a phone scam and spoke to the caller. Caller advised that they received a phone call from an unknown person who told them that they were having computer problems and would need to allow them to remotely connect to help them. They allowed this and they then installed a file on the computer trying to "help" them, but it was at this time, that they believe this person infected the computer. They were told that virus could be removed, but it would cost $350. During the conversation the caller was able to obtain a number of personal identifiers. They then provided a credit card number to have the virus removed, but then became suspicious as they continued to ask personal questions. They were able to disconnect and then cancel the credit card before payment was made. Caller is protected by Lifelock, but caller did not provide any important personal information. Officer referred caller to the Credit Bureaus and the FTC to help protect themselves.

1/5/2016	9:24 PM	911 Follow-up	Cooper Ln.	Officer responded dispatched to location in reference to a 911 hang-up. Dispatch advised that on call back, the caller stated that everything was okay and that the call was accidental. Officer met with caller and confirmed that everything was fine.
1/6/2016	5:12 AM	Driving Complaint	US Rt. 42 N	Officer was advised by Union County Sheriff's Office that a driving complaint that their deputy was looking for on US Rte. 33 East was turning south bound on US Rt. 42. Dispatch advised that vehicle was committing a lot of marked Lanes Violations. Officer located the vehicle on US Rt. 42 at West Main Street and observed the vehicle drive left of center two times then partially drive onto the sidewalk nears Schrock Automotive. Officer initiated a traffic stop with the vehicle and the driver, Michael Yates was issued a citation for Marked Lanes.
1/6/2016	4:55 PM	Animal Complaint - Other	North Chillicothe St.	Officer responded to location in reference to a canine complaint. The caller advised that he was walking in the alley behind this address and a large Rottweiler was jumping up on the fence. Caller was afraid that the dog would end up jumping over the fence and possibly hurting someone. Caller had made contact with the resident / canine owner and advised him of his concerns. The caller informed the canine owner that he might start carrying a baseball bat in the future. The resident told the caller to leave and then also called the Police. Upon Officer's arrival they spoke with both parties. It was recommended to the caller to perhaps choose another route to walk to avoid the issue and that the dog jumping on the fence is not prohibited. Canine owner advised that the dog always jumps on the fence, but cannot get over it.
1/6/2016	7:53 PM	Juvenile	West Main St.	Officer responded to location in reference to a juvenile complaint. The complainant advised that there were several juveniles playing in the dumpster and also by her vehicle. Upon officer's arrival, they patrolled the area, but was unable to locate any juveniles. Officer met with the caller who stated that there were four juveniles and they were also smoking while hanging around the dumpster. She further advised that the incident occurred approximately 15-20 minutes prior to my arrival.

1/7/2016	10:00 AM	Parking Complaint	South Chillicothe St.	Officer was notified of an illegally parked van in front of the listed location. Officer located a blue and silver minivan parked in an area where parking is prohibited. Officer made contact with the owner of the van, who was at the residence installing carpet, and advised him of the complaint. Owner moved the van and apologized.
1/7/2016	10:30 AM	Theft/Identity	Country Side Rd.	Officer was met at the police department by the complainant who advised that he noticed a fraudulent charge on his Visa card. He advised that he did not authorize this purchase nor did he know who made it. He also said he has not lost possession of his card. He said that a second attempt to use the card was made on 01/06/2016, but was flagged. He said he has already reported this fraud and they will be refunding the money back to his account. Officer obtained other pertinent information regarding the transaction and will follow-up to see if a suspect can be identified.

1/7/2016	10:15 PM	Suspicious Circumstances	North Chillicothe St.	Officer responded to the listed location in reference to suspicious circumstances. Caller advised that when she returned home she observed that the car alarm for her mother’s car was activated. There was no damage to the vehicle and all four doors were locked. Officer checked the area, but was unable locate anything out of the ordinary.
